Well, my GardenWeb subscription is up and I've decided it's not worth renewing. I used to post almost every day but stopped because most of the time I feel like I'm talking to myself. So, to whomever is left, which as far as I know is just Superbee (maybe), good luck to you!

Kathy

I am sorry you won't be renewing. I was away camping in Maine during these past few days. I understand that some of the forums are very slow, I also am unhappy about that but I guess this is the kind of thing in which how active a forum is depends on the level of interest in the topic :(

Thanks much for your support Kathy, during my efforts to keep on exercising. I will miss you.

Superbee

P.S.

I accidentally discovered the Kitchen Table on this site sometime ago and I find that it is really active and has a wonderful bunch of folks.

Hi Guys! Raeanne: Not to be too picky, but I think YOUR name is a different spelling of Juanita! LOL! Dee:We have one of those bands here in Seattle---an old band that's still around called Jr. Cadillac. Ya gotta love the staying power of these old rockers. Well, I am in the throes of foster parent training. A few years ago, I rode the roller coaster of the adoption process with DH before he halted the process at the last minute...ouch! Anyway, that being water under the bridge, we're going to try fostering instead! I have been taking all the training classes and learning a ton. Yesterday, I had the drug-affected babies class. I've taken 33 hours of classes so far and have about 20 more to go. Our family is getting our FBI and fingerprint check next week! Then CPR, HIV/AIDS/blood pathogens and first aid training. After all that, we'll submit the applicationa nd have 2 or more home studies done, then see what happens. It's my purpose in life right now to get this license! I have lost 1 1/2 pounds since I came back to my SS gal pals (and the elusive John). Thanks to you guys, I am eating Uncle Sam's and yogurt for brekky and curbing (sort of-lol!) my nighttime eating. Baby steps! Now, for the exercise part!!!! Well, I have to de-weed my front yard, then I'm off to the ferry line!

Hi Everyone! I am more than happy to join in with ya's. I've been in a slump that has been going on for months now. I have always tried to exercise at least a couple of times a week, but I just haven't been able to get motivated on my own here lately. Reading all of your posts, I feel like I can tackle the world. As I am so proud of myself for kicking the smoking habit (addiction) that I had for many years, I now find myself about 15 pounds overweight. Soooo, here I go! My favorite exercise is walking. I live in a very small town. One lap around all the streets is approximately one and a half miles. I am gonna try my best to do 3 laps every other day. So I'd appreciate everyone sending me lots of walking vibes! I always look forward to reading these posts. Pam in Indiana

Thanks much for the welcome :) I have ordered the WATP videos on half.com and can't wait for them to arrive. But since I posted, I decided to start anyway with the treadmill in our basement. I have done a mile of brisk walking every day since then. EXCEPT *sigh* the weekend. DH took me to this most awesome restaurant in NYC and I stuffed myself to the gills the food was sooo good. But today is Monday...I am gonna get back on track or rather on treadmill :) Speaking of the treadmill, I tend to slow down (in other words, "give up") once the counter says 1 mile. Do you think throwing a towel over the counters (speed, distance etc.) would work?? Superbee

Congrats, Superbee, on the 4 lbs! I wish I could say the same. It seems slowly but surely everything I lost is creeping back on. Today was weigh-in; gained another pound. :( This week was TOM and I was not feeling well at all. Was out cutting grass in the heat today so won't do anything more until tomorrow. Where is everyone else and how are you doing? Please check in. Superbee and I need some support from the rest of you!

Kathy,

Sorry that you will not be renewing your subscription. You will be missed. I wish you the best of luck!
I have no excuse for not posting anymore, except.... that I haven't been dieting and exercising, which I am totally ashamed of! I think a person only posts when they are proud of theirselves, but they don't want to tell all the bad.
I also think that summer is really slow on the board. People are vacationing, gardening and doing all kinds of activities.
Best of luck to you, Kathy! Wanda
