As usual your pics are wonderful! I think that it was a post something like this that made me go crazy on the oranges last fall... and now you are making me think about the golds! I can tell that Spellbinder and Condilla would just glow in the garden, and I find that I am missing that color in my garden for some reason. Hmm.. adding to the list I wasn't going to have this year! I love looking at your photos.. you do such a good job! Thanks! Julie

Thanks Olivia. Red Eden does just that with a group of 5 or so blooms right at the top of the canes. However, Red Eden is listed as a climber, but the canes are super thick and rigid. They are essentially unbendable. So far, Red Eden behaves more like a medium upright hybrid tea than a bendable climber White Eden didn't bloom much as at all last year, but I'm interested to see how it fairs this year. I have tied up all my roses vertically, because I'm trying to just encourage vertical growth. I want them to go the extent of the arbors, then after they are long enough, I'll take them down and bend them so it encourages more lateral canes and blooms. Right now my main interest in just in getting them to get as tall as possible. Red Eden couldn't bend even if I wanted it to as the moment. Renee, yes the street consists of the original Columbus city brick roadways. My small hometown also had them so I am used to them. They are perfectly fine and last forever, however they do tend to sink in spots making the ride rather bumpy and all over the place. I live near Victorian Village in Columbus. Most of German Village in Columbus consists of small brick streets.

Boxo, I was going to race back and recheck for AD photos, but my Memorial Day was actually done around 1:30 a.m. before I had to crash out and get ready for the Memorial Day trial. Eluane got a Lord-Blessed Miracle 1st Place. As soon as I get a breather we'll be posting her photos. It was sooo cute because she did not want to leave the competition when everyone had already packed up! She looooves the agility comps and practicing and pulled against the side of the leash and smashed her whole chest against the floor with sad eyes, and head against the floor, not wanting to leave, I was so shocked- if only I had my camera with me!!! it was so cute Boxo. Anyway, I only have a few nice blooms going because my baby roses are hating the heat and won't open up properly in the actual blooming stage. Your Don Juan will have to help keep me from going insane with my DJ, haha! But Climbing Okie has taught me to sit down and stop my Belly-Achin' haha! I am enjoying DJ's fragrance but geeee I hate our blasting suns roasting the blooms. We are having drought and heat sooooo early (2 months ahead of schedule) but I'm sure you'll get some nice weather once your niece's baby shower begins! The Garden will be SPECTACULAR! Be sure to post your favorites so we can celebrate at our Gallery and many congratulations to both sisters! One for being a Mom, the other for being an Aunt! Yes, Boxo, I do remember you not having children, but what a Blessing you've been for your nieces- your "daughters", really and truly! Many Hugs and will talk soon. I'm so thrilled to be back STALKING AD, and he still has fabulous timing! I will never forget what a gorgeous bouquet he made on my Birthday too, haha! That year was a real bad year for me gardenwise and you really helped cheer me up with AD!!! So I know for sure he will indeed go full blast and make a Gorgeous Present for your nieces on the Baby Shower Event too! And yes, I can't wait to see the red companion roses going with AD! :D Oh, so yummy, on the Korean barbecue...James also loooves Korean barbecue ribs. Eluane wants the cartilege ends! and is wagging her tail at the very thought!

We ended up with the Honda Civic EX. We looked again at the Corolla, but they checked and told us there wasn't a white Corolla in a 5 state area with ABS and side airbags. They said they had never seen one at all with stability control. ??? We had an offer of a white Honda LX without side airbags for $15,200 with 1.9% interest. There was no white LX with sidebags anywhere in the state. We almost took the one without the sidebags, but we really want the side airbags. They didn't have a white EX with sidebags, but they found one at a dealer 300 miles away. They wanted $400. over invoice. Too much I though and we left after 3 hours. They called me at home and knocked $100. off. Still too much. They called back and offered invoice. I took it. They are still of course getting a dealers holdback and I am sure there is more. The EX also has ABS brakes, sunroof, and a few extra bell and whistles. We are paying $17,475 with 1.9%. I hope this is fair. What do you think?
