sources of local produce

I am interested in finding local produce, especially eggs. My friend used to give me eggs from his chickens; they were really great.

Any tips?

You might want to go to a farmers market in your area.

Sometimes we buy free run eggs in store, this might be your closest to a home grown egg, nice yellow. I know,.. most American's don't like it, in fact, anything what resembles dark in color is not their thing, ..I'm thinking of honey now.
