Jojoba rundown
Comments (6)Hi Gem1, My neighbor's jojoba got to be atleast 6 feet wide in 3 years..they are round in shape. Won't look good if you trim on one side. Which side is your area facing? I would suggest that you put up 2 arbors(I bought them from Biglots for 5.99 each. Run yellow orchid vine on them. It loves sun and provides interest atleast 9mos if not all year round..makes very little mess if any..Inside the arbor..you can plant either medicinal aloe or cannas for vertical element.LMK what you decide. I may be able to give you some plants when whether cools down. Another option is pigmy date palms..they get very little sunburn in july but look beautiful. Pick plants that provide no mess....See MoreNeighbor putting trash can in front of my house
Comments (36)I get it! This is 12 yrs later and narcissistic abuse is so much more common today. I am a 62 yr old woman, and have some nasty neighbors right next door. We (they are a couple, half my age) had a runin due to them allowing their dog to do its business in my yard, instead of theirs. I should not have to clean up after them (their trash blows over in my yard and all around the neighborhood) or their dog. They NEVER cleaned up their dogs crap from my yard, it was me. And the flies ugh. I wasnt even able to open windows to allow some fresh air in due to their stench. When I spoke with them and asked them to stop, things got worse. Because they continued to allow this, I had no choice but to call animal control. Since then, they have made my life a nightmare. They saw an ambulance take me to the hospital the other night. They know that I am currently home. Today, their trash toter is back in front of my house, instead of theirs. They push and push, daring me to do something. THEY ARE BULLIES. This is just one of their many ways to abuse. Elder abuse, pure plain and simple. And because people are so easily offended, and even defend disgusting behaviors, one (decent people) may not be exactly sure how to proceed. And get attacked for even asking for advice. But I will be calling the county attorneys office tomorrow to see what may be done....See Moremy brother bought a run-down Tudor mansion
Comments (28)The next time I'm down there, I'm going to stop by the historical society. The Tudor elements don't seem tacked-on to me... they're huge chamfered beams, well-integrated into decorative posts that protrude above the roofline. And the porch seems (surprisingly) original to me, too, The doors inside on the main body of the house don't seem like they've ever seen weather. The inside of the porch is fully paneled with gorgeous old wood and has a coved ceiling, and the windows and doors are all loaded with leaded glass that matches the rest of the house. And the basement extends fully beneath the entire porch. Strange. Wouldn't it be great to find a really old photograph of the place? Apparently this week he's got a mason cleaning and repointing brick, and an exterior painter starting....See MoreDryer sheet smell in my house when wall-sharing neighbor does laundry?
Comments (11)can you access the crawl space? if you can than get under there and take a look at the dryer vent. i would be eilling to bet that whomever ”cleaned” her duct either loosed or disconnected a piece of ridged vent pipe OR if the fleixble corrugated was used then a hole was poked. Either way sudden changes in smell are usually due to leaking vents OR a large change in building pressure that is causing air to be pulled into the space to equalize the pressure....See MoreKatie S
