Loved Joshua, (had a giggle when he took his jacket off) but it waa great song. And "yo" I think Jun will be next off too. All seem like great kids. With 11 left and one going home tomorrow, that leaves all the rest to tour. What an experience for them.

Joshua Ledet was amazing. I thought will.i.am pegged it when he said "you just took me to church." Joshua is clearly a church singer and I just hope folks continue to "get" him and that there is a place for him in today's music scene.

I agree that Hee Jun will probably go next. Then the blondes (Shannon, Elise, Erika). I was surprised that Steven Tyler came down so hard on Colton. I think he must see Colton as a pop singer rather than a rock singer, and he thought he was "pretending" with the rock. Or something like that.

lol, yayagal ;) Joshua did an amazing job with that song. That was an awkward deal with the guy that was asked to leave. Wasn't he given an extra break a few weeks back, too? And ST seemed to be judging more pessimistically, he's usually more an optimist.

Loved Joshua. Listened to his song a couple times. My ex boyfriend (musician and promoter) was raised in Chicago and loved Gospel music. We would drive to Sacramento some Sundays just to listen to some good Gospel music. I can hear Joshua's influence clearly.

DH and I have loved Joshua from day one. He is amazing. My prediction for top three: Joshua, Jessica, and Hallie. (I think that's her name? The adorable blonde girl.) I hope Joshua wins, though sometimes on this show, I think you're better off coming in #2. I think the tall blonde girl (Shannon?) is going home this week. Colton can go, too, as far as I'm concerned.

And Phillip is talented, but seems to be impersonating Dave Matthews!

It would also be okay with me if Colton went.

Agree about Philip. He's one of those guys who sounds the same every time. Not much range? However, he was better than I expected last night.

I take back what I said about Colton last week! I loved his "Piano Man"! I loved Elise's performance too.

Loved Colton tonight. Kept rewinding it. Jessica and Elise were both great tonight.

Elisa is getting better and better and she looked beautiful.

I have always like Elise. I think people aren't voting for her because she seems "older" (I assume most voters are preteens/teens) and maybe not as "cute" as some of the others. Which is really too bad because I think she's one of the best ones in the group. I felt like the judges were giving her extra props last night to encourage people to vote for her.

Still love Joshua. I agree that Colton was better last night but I thought he sounded like one of the Jonas Brothers.

The "older"-ness of Erika and Elise is what has hurt them in the past. I agree. But they both had great performances last night, so we'll see if they make it out of the bottom three based on performance, or if there is just a tendency for the voters to like guys and younger girls, regardless of talent.

I think Elise and Colton were the best performances last night. As DH and I watched Hee Jun, I saw Steven Tyler's face and said "he's going to rip him a new one." And he did. Deservedly so. I think Hee Jun has said to himself "I'm going to ride this thing as far as it will take me." I figure he'll be on a sitcom this fall.

Indeed Nancybee, Joshua is amazing and it was a great show but it's a tough battle from now on, I find them all so good at this point. Philip is my least favorite but he has a big fan base.

Yes, I also think they were all very good last night and it's going to be very difficult to predict from now on. Having said that, I think both Hallie and Philip can leave right now. Poor Hallie, I think she is great but she isn't really holding her own against the others. And honestly, if I could reach thru the TV and smack Philip, I would. He sounds the same in every song, makes the same faces... ugh, he just bugs me. I can't believe the judges think he is so great! I feel like we're not hearing the same thing.

I think Jessica is amazing but IMO she is having the Pia Affect (if anyone remembers Pia from a previous season). Absolutely beautiful voice but after a while, kind of boring.

My two favorites now are Joshua and Elise.

I just can't get a fix on the final 6. Hollie has definitely done a lot better the last two weeks. And I think that has served her well with the voters. And I think a lot of the young female voters probably identify with her. So she could continue to do really well and get further than she really should But I still can't tell just what kind of singer she is supposed to be. I know she has the big voice and all, but she seems like a fit for country, to me. I think she is ahead of Jessica on the personality front, so might be able to beat her out, even though Jessica is the more polished singer.

I think Skylar is in the final. I would like to think Joshua is in the final with her, but I don't know if he'll have enough votes to get there. I think he has the same problem as Jessica -- not a lot of R&B fans watching American Idol or voting.

That leaves Phillip and Elise. Elise is wonderful, but I don't see her in the final. I thought the teenybopper vote was a big deal, but then Colton went home, and he was more in the mold of the David Cook/Kris Allen/Lee DeWyze-type winner. Phillip is more quirky than those guys, and doesn't really have that great of a voice, so he may fade, too.

I enjoyed the clips showing the personalities of each performer. I totally agree with you Sueb on your entire post, especially about reaching thru the tv screen! And "quirky" definately describes Phillip. I'm sure they will all make out fine and have futures ahead of them.

I miss Crystal Bowersox!

Crystal Bowersox was on one of the night time sitcoms I think it was Castle but am not sure. I have to admit, she did pretty good.
