Here are some photo's I found, from a year ago.

The Sicilian Pizza with a Stuffed Crust, tutorial.

Dough in bowl raising

Starting to strech the Dough

Streched Dough 1 1/2 inches over edge of pan and laid Pepperoni down the right side.

With some sauce and cheese. Fold the Dough over this into the pan and press edge down.

Lay cooked Sausage along with some sauce and fold the dough over , into pan.

Continued around each side with goodies and folded the Dough over into the Pan.

Press the edge down and spoon in the Pizza Sauce.

Bake for about 8 minutes.

Take the Pizza out and put on the Cheese and Toppings.

Bake till done to you liking.

I usually put the Pepperoni on when it is almost done.

and Stuffing.

I like the flavor of Provolone. It doesn't get like a piece of rubber, when it cools a little. This was brought up a while back. Now I found out a lot of the members are using it. But I also use it with Mozzerella. Chopped small and mixed. Sometimes I use 4 Cheeses mixed. Lou

Wow, I can't imagine removing a hot heavy pizza stone from the oven, adding a pizza and then returning the heavier, very hot stone to the oven. I took my techique partially from watching the professionals put it directly on the stone/brick floor of a pizza oven, which you can't move. I use a wooden peel, I sprinkle generously with cornmeal, add the pizza crust, then build the pizza directly on the peel. The stone, which is the largest I was ever able to find, is preheated in the oven and stays there. After I finish the pizza on the peel, there is little cornmeal to fall off because it is almost all under the pizza which extends to both edges of the peel without going over it. I gently shake the peel with the pizza on it over the sink to make sure it moves freely on the peel and isn't sticking. Then over to the oven, and with one (usually) or 2 quick motions the pizza is one the stone. When its done, I remove it from the stone with the peel and the stone and extra cornmeal stay in the oven to cool completly. When cool, I lift the stone out, carry it to the sink and brush off the cornmeal into the sink. Just thought I would share my own technique. I am impatient for summer tomatoes and fresh basil and more pizzas. :)

Muffins and breads freeze well, as does cookie dough or baked cookies and cupcakes without frosting. Pizza freezes nicely, as do calzones, cabbage rolls, savory pies like chicken or beef pot pie, meatballs and pot roast! Anyway, soup. One of my favorites is beef vegetable, but I have no recipe. I take every vegetable that I can get my hands on and chop them up. Chop up some beef into bite sized pieces, brown in the pan with some onion and celery. Add a couple of quarts of water and all the vegetables and cook until everything is done. Add salt, pepper, herbs. I like tarragon. If I have a jar of tomatoes open I'll add that, or leftover spaghetti sauce or whatever is in there. Leftover gravy? In it goes. Part of a jar of home canned beef stock? Double bonus, into the pot. I've used hamburger in this, venison, leftover steak, Italian sausage, kielbasa or a mixture of things, it's all good. I keep adding to the pot, adjusting seasonings, until it tastes good and the refrigerator is cleaned. (grin) It's never failed, but sometimes it grows quite large, which is how I know it freezes well! Good luck to your friend, I hope she comes through with flying colors. Annie

I'm so glad it's a good pie plate! I thought it was very pretty anyway. That's fantastic all the money you've raised and for the best of causes. I bet the pie tasted fantastic too. Rhubarb is not big here and I've never tasted it before. Here, it all about the peach and strawberry. How great when cooking is a pay it forward event.

Hi Lou, this is such a timely post. DH decided that it's time to branch out from his 2 specialties - crepes and meat on the grill - and learn to make pizza from scratch.

He was hoping to make some for Super Bowl Sunday, as we'll at the lakehouse and far, far, away from any delivery pizza.

Your pictures look great. I'm pretty new here (how long can I say that?....)and I don't recall seeing your recipe for dough & sauce. Perhaps it's been posted and I just missed it because I wasn't in a pizza state of mind.

Have you shared it? How can I locate it? Thanks -

That looks so good. I have clipped this thread as well as the ones for the pizza sauce and the dough. My family loves pizza. They are going to go crazy for your Sicilian Pizza. Thank you

That looks like the chicago style pizza that my husband (from chicago) loves so much. He thinks it's the "only" decent pizza. Thank you for posting this and your recipes. I'm going to try this as a surprise for him.
