I'm home, and sadly didn't do really well at the beach. We went out to eat only twice and I did have grilled amberjack so that wasn't bad, but the key lime pie was not so good (actually it was wonderful, that was the problem). We did have fresh fruit and salad with each meal and I avoided fried foods all week, but I did break down and have a wine cooler on the beach at night. Managed to get lots of exercise walking up and down the beach. They have dredged sand and replaced most of the beach and it was just full of shells. We collected 30 each of 5 kinds and 20 of another for SIL's sisters 2nd grade class. We got many, many others but not enough for each student, so those will go on a display for the room. It was actually hard to get into the water for the shells on the beach. By Wed most of them had been covered with sand and you could walk better, so we did. Laura you seem to be doing so very well. I'm proud of you. Keep up the good work. Isn't Splenda the greatest stuff!! Glassquilt, you sound like me. When I worked for the Air Force I would fix at least 10 cups of coffee a day, and only get to drink 1 or 2. But mine was mostly just an excuse to get up from my desk for a while. How did you do Jennifer? Did you make it thru the week? There are many books available to help with the calorie counting and the diet organizer is a really good aid too. You can put in your own recipes if you want and it will figure the calories for you. Way to go scraphappy. Only 7 more pounds. I do hope the other 3 didn't find you. I do find it easier to take my own snacks. Those fast food ones are killers. I guess I need to weigh and see just how bad I was last week. I'll check back in later. beverly

Bmore, Sorry for so long replying. I've had a somewhat crazy Friday evening and even crazier Saturday morning. I should have better explained my reasons for certain flow, etc. when I posted but spent too much time for the background information. I am going to try to explain as best I can with the following: 1. The area between the range and sink is the primary prep space for the primary cook of that particular moment. They are relatively close to one another and ease of movement from sink, to counter, to range. There is also the space underneath for cutting boards for ease of use and cleanup. 2. The other side of the range would be a secondary prep space if needed with a BB top...for looks as much as function. This space would be for produce only. We use a lot of produce and as my DH loves to chop and cut produce this would be his area when I am the primary cook. I would have already washed it of course b/c that is what I do now! He just wants to be the chopper. When he is the primary cook he can stay in his primary zone. 3. Dishes and flatware are located diagonally across from the DW for ease of unloading and actually close proximity to the breakfast table which is where we eat all of our meals. This also allows for table setter not to enter primary workspace. So you can see where they would go from sink, to DW, to drawer, to table. After eating they would flow back to island and area between hutch and sink for cleanup and loading. 4. Coffee station is near water but out of way of cooking zone still near BF table and sofa area for lazy weekend mornings. All supplies would be located in this area: mugs, sugar, creamers, filters, etc. 5. Fridge is located in an area where it is handy to snack station and cooking station. This keeps the snackers out of my way. I haven't decided on the type of fridge yet but am considering SxS b/c of the depth of the doors. I don't want a FD otherwise it will be a bottom mount freezer w/ door opening to kitchen. Overflow fridge will be in utility room. 6. Island will have a two-way trash for snackers and cooks. I haven't decided what will be on the pantry side of the elevation behind the dishdrawers as it will only be about 5 - 6 inches deep. Probably an electrical supply and I don't know what else. The end of the island will have one barstool. This is not for meal eating except for the occasional bowl of cereal or sandwich but more for a hangout spot for the seondary cook/helper. The island will also be used for appetizers, etc. when entertaining and as a barrier to keep people (i.e. kids) out of my space. 7. The pantry is laid out in relation to use of items per snackers and cook. The walkthru between it and the island are also a pass thru for DS' coming from their rooms and into the keeping area without crossing over into the prep, cook, cleanup areas. 8. The cookware is to the left of the range as I don't put it in the dishwasher so it is further away while the glass bakeware I do put in the DW so it is closer. Also the above counter space will also be where I do my mixing. Mixer on counter in corner. 9. The butler's pantry will have a hutch that will house formal dinnerware, silverware, and crystal. It can be brought to the island for plating, etc. when needed. The hutch can also be used for a dry bar or buffet when needed. 10.The second oven has been ditched and the bench will run along the entire wall. This space is there so that junk doesn't build up in my kitchen proper as it does now. IT can be put away when formal entertaining takes place. The armoire will house docking stations, paper shredder, dust vac, etc. 11. I will have a rack for saute pans and such for ease of reach on the brick wall. Also a shelf for ease of reach for major spices, etc. This is to be a very utilitarian workspace with hopefully everything thought out. HOwever, that is also a problem as I am truly stuck in this layout and I can't get to anything else this is why I am asking for thoughts. I think this is everything right now.. I am sure I will think of something in a few however. Gotta go change a diaper!!!!

Definitely don't talk with ANYONE else about this - even family. OK, family is alright but keep it meek and mild. If you decide to go after them, they may try to intimidate your friends/family. It can be VERY difficult to win a harrassment case. Read and understant the laws and like everyone said, get a good atty that specializes in such cases. What you don't want to happen is rejection when you try to find another job. This will scare the heck out of them. If you go on interviews, keep cool and calm and only speak the facts, IF ASKED. Have you quit yet (don't remember)? If you still have your job, unless you are specialized, they can't just fire you because of your injury. They would have to offer you another job commensurate with you abilities (physical ones based on your injury), if you can't continue in your current position. Some of this depends on the laws in your jurisdiction. If that happens, start looking for another job. It's easier to find a job if you have one. Also, watch your actions while you are not at work. I've know WC attnys to follow people to deny claims. I wish you the best kiddo. I'm not trying to scare you but this type of situation is very serious. You probably have a strong case, but of course it is easier said than done. A friend of mine retired from being working on such cases - she worked for the Office of Civil Rights. You would be surprised at how certain things can help your case. You may want to start a journal becaus there will be a lot of questions you will need to answer and you may not remember everything at will - especially how you were feeling on certain days. AND, by all means, don't go back to their counselors. Get your own - that may work in your favor too. Good luck and don't sweat it - let the lawyers do that. gng

its funny b/c i thought i could never do "low carb". i loved my pizza, good bread (sarcone's if u live in philly), pasta etc. But since i have been doing THM, i don't crave it nor do i like it, which sounds crazy. ! i still get my carbs from healthy sources- old fashioned oats, green apples (least amount of sugar), clementines, bananas (which are allowed on-plan) wasa rye crips, berries, salads, brown rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes.... i don't eat any white flour, refined foods or sugar. my cheats are ice cream, in the summer, can do w/o in the winter. IPA beer, 2 on the weekends. that's it, i always stay on plan during the week. DH & I go out every Saturday night, so i do the best i can but i am going to indulge also. a really good wrap is Ole wellness extreme. i have to buy from amazon b/c stores don't carry it around here but they are worth it!! also, u can make mini-pizza's from Joseph's low carb pita or the lavash bread, only half for the lavash. those are life-savers for me. !! only 5 carbs. i take the total carbs and minus the fiber. 16 total - 11 fiber=5 they have less carbs than the flat-outs, not great for pizza's since they are thin, but great for sandwiches. if i know i am going to eat say pulled pork, cheesesteak, hoagie etc., i carry one with me and just take the guts of the sandwich and put on the wrap. easy-peasy!! or order it on a plate (no bun/roll) and put on a wrap or over a salad... the joseph's i can get anywhere... i do believe, the less u eat of "bad" carbs, sugar, the less u crave....and if i do a really bad cheat, i feel awful from all the sugar, so i know better than to do it. i do those a lot less often.... if u order fries, at least try to order sweet potato fries. a better carb than white potato...
