Ideas for Anniversary gift of a hosta tour--ideas?
Comments (15)LOL, Melati--I WISH!!! We'll probably have to make that direction a whole *nuther plan*--maybe next-year's anniversary! Dave--thank you so much, too!! I'm definitely going to have to have 'a plan'!! Now, tell me this *you guys* with the extensive collections you already have--what in the world do I bring you, that you DO NOT ALREADY HAVE??? I'm getting nervous!!! My 'picken's are such 'small potatoes' compared with anyone you've suggested visiting, including yourselves!! LOL btw--do NOT fear--I would NEVER ask you for a piece of your hosta! I only tease on the forum, with such boldness, (and with those I've already 'traded' with) but in 'real life' I'd be horrified to do that!! Just not the way I wuz brought up--southern roots, ya know--well, maybe you don't but trust me--they're still in 'there'!!! :o) And, if I go over a certain one you have--I AM NOT hinting for you to bring out the shovel, okay? I'm just enthusiastic about ANYTHING I see that I think is awesome, admirable, or beautiful, and for the life-of-me, I cannot refrain from letting my appreciation be known!!! :o/ So--DO NOT--DO NOT let my enthusiasm make you squirm nor compelled to dig up a perfectly beautiful clump, destroying it's symmetry for the rest of the season, JUST to give me a piece of it, cause I'm excited by it's maturity and beauty!!! Seriously--I will, undoubtedly, LOVE them ALL!!! And, I can wait to get whatever it is I may be 'blown away' about, someday--but--I may be taking copious notes, if you don't mind!! ;o)...See MoreA Grand Gift from Granjan (Janet)

Comments (20)Did anyone mention street fairs and art fairs? Just driving around? When we visited friends in Vienna we went for a drive and as we passed along a border with Hungary, just HAD to get out of the car and walk in. The last time we were there it would have been all barbed wire with armed guards, so this was pretty memorable. and since it's family, be sure to have pictures and memorabilia available to thumb through and share stories....See MoreHostess gift ideas quick?
Comments (18)People, no .. we do not give hostess gifts for sleepovers. OMG that would be crazy. From the original post: Question --- hostess gift given that it is Easter? My question was, given that my daughter is sleeping over on Easter Sunday, don't you think a small hostess gift would be nice? To me, it is extraordinarily accommodating to have someone sleepover on a fairly major family holiday. As explained, neither girl lives at home and one is in England so it is very hard to mesh their schedules otherwise I don't think either side would have agreed to it. Frankly I'm not crazy about it myself. Also, I had no free time in my schedule today to bake something, which would have been nice. I ended up getting really cute easter cookies from my local bakery. These are TDF all butter organic, and they are cute and they box them nicely with ribbon. I was lucky they had some extra boxes. Bunny cakes were all pre sold but that might interfere with dessert plans anyway. Cookies are more snack then dessert. My DD also picked up a bouquet of white tulips, then came home and wrapped them in kraft paper and a green and white gingham french wire ribbon we had. They looked sweet. At the same time, I bought some monkey bread for our breakfast tomorrow. And, I am going to a pot luck lunch Monday so I picked up a very cute succulent arrangement for the hostess. So, it's all good!...See MoreOakley
