One of the appliance folk can probably say with more certainty than I could but the model you chose looks like the Optima I had in my apartment, which was a great, great dw. I have a 10 y.o. Incognito though it dries very well. I've never opened the door. Here's what Miele says about how the drying system works -- it is not heated drying and requires no energy usage. "Most Miele dishwashers employ an advanced drying system that draws room temperature air through a port at the bottom of the appliance. This air is disbursed through special channels around the exterior dishwasher cavity and allows the interior water particles to condense against the walls of the dishwasher. During this process no external air is ever introduced inside of the dishwasher. This provides the most effective and hygienic drying possible." The reason the dishes get dryer on Saniwash is because that water is very hot and, provided the dw is fairly full, the condensation is quite complete. I have Ikea cabinets in the laundry room so I'm aware of precautions with those. Their plinth board in there is starting to peel though the cabinets are doing fine. I would just be aware and make adjustments needed. The DW does come with a front piece that is contiguous with the toe kick in my kitchen but that would depend on which Ikea cabinets are being used and how they are being installed. Crystal looks like a good choice to me.

TREKaren thanks for the recipe - will lose the wings and try it with chicken tenders. 1000 calories quickly turned to 1200 when I started looking at the dogs as food (just kidding). I just get so frustrated with thinking I am doing so well and finding out I am not. Well the superbowl is over - good. Valentine's day next week and then a birthday party after that! A month of challenges. The party last night turned out to be healthy food, lots of fruit and veggies. It was a small church group party so no drinking except diet soda. I overate as everyone there did but at least do not have that queasy feeling from the greasy foods. Beautiful day today and walking is on the menu - hubby and I walked a long way yesterday. Reading a book called Habits Not Diets and so far have learned: Make every meal a gourmet occassion - no tv. Eat slowly - chew! Change your usual sitting place (at the table) to make you more aware of your surroundings and how much you are eating. Write the mood you were in when you reach for snacks and over time you will see what your triggers are then find a substitute to change that mood. Don't keep foods you snack on in easy reach. Oh speaking of... WW has a 1 point carrot or chocolate cake that are good. I did not buy them but had one of mom's. If you have the willpower to have them around they are pretty good. They would call me and mom said they call her too. Erica I keep a running total of calories on scrap paper in the kitchen. It keeps you honest to your plan. This recipe tastes better than it sounds: 1 cup diet coke or pepsi, mix with 1 cup ketchup. Put boneless chicken breasts (cut into strips) in it and bake. Turn to baste. occassionally. From WW but I don't know the points - sorry. I made this for hubby and he did not complain (but I did not tell him what he was eating). Tastes like barbeque sauce. Bye, Kathy

I have listened to people for years talk about the fact that Weight Watchers is real food that you buy and cook at home, because many of the people I use to go to church with have found it to be the most consistent. I have worked with the diabetics association diets in my profession and know they are well balanced meals/snacks and their menus are available at the library so you don't have to sign-up for the constant advertisements. Balance the two diet menus and you should be able to work out something that will work for the fussy-eater part of you. Most importantly is keep posting here where you can get support because that's what determines, most of the time, whether or not a dieter is successful--SUPPORT! Since you quit smoking you know you've got the will-power (AKA self discipline) and perseverance to lose the weight. Congratulations! now you only have to add water and exercise and you are on your way. We look forward to hearing about your successes and your slips, because none of US are perfect at this so you can't be either. (lots of smiles)

Here is the article: How to Pick the Best Size Chandelier for your Room By Susan Welch Heeney, ASID, Decorating Studio, LLC Whether you are selecting a chandelier or light fixture for your Dining Room or Foyer/Entry Hall, it can be confusing to decide on which size is best. Then, once you determine the correct size of light fixture, how do you determine at what height to hang it? Its really not too hard if you follow some tips that Interior Designers and Decorators use when selecting and handing chandeliers. Visual Weight of the Chandelier for a Dining Room Before following the guidelines below, keep in mind that the style and heaviness of the light fixture will affect what size you need to go with. A visually heavy chandelier can go more towards a smaller diameter. A visually light chandelier can be a little wider in diameter. ChandelierSize Over the Dining Room Table One universally correct formula for determining the correct size light fixture for the Dining Room is to go with a fixture that has a diameter that is half the diameter (or width) of the tabletop. For instance, if the Dining Room table is a rectangle of 48" wide x 72" long, a chandelier that is approximately 24" (half of the 48" width of the table) in diameter would look fabulous. If the table is a 60" round diameter, a 30" diameter chandelier would be appropriate. If you want to hang two chandeliers over an exceptionally long dinging room table (for example a table that is approximately 54" wide x 120" long), then if you select chandeliers that are 1/3 the width of the table and hang them centered on each end of the table that would be correct. Therefore each chandelier would be approximately 18" in diameter. The height of the actual chandelier should be determined on the ceiling height of the room. Many Designers follow the rule of allowing 2 ½"  3" for each foot of a rooms height. Using this calculation, a room that has an 8 ceiling can use a chandelier that is approximately 20" to 24" in height. If the ceiling is 10 feet high, than a light fixture that is 25" to 30" would look more appropriate. The chandelier should be hung centered over the table (unless you are installing more than 1 fixture over the table) and the bottom of the light fixture should be about 30" above the table top. Dining Room chandeliers should always have a dimmer switch so that you can use the Dining Room for a multiple of activities from romantic dinners to a study area for the kids. Chandelier Size for a Foyer or Entry Hall When you donÂt have a table to help you determine the width of the chandelier you need for a room, you base the size on the overall room dimensions. One easy favorite that rarely fails is to add the width and length of the room together in feet and convert that figure to inches to come up with the correct width of the chandelier. For example, if an Entry Hall is only 8 x 6Â, you would add 8 + 6 together which equals 14, but instead of 14 feet, it would indicate that a 14" diameter chandelier would work best. If a room is larger, say 10 x 18Â, you would figure the diameter of the chandelier by the following formula: 10 + 18 = 28 (Therefore, a 28" diameter chandelier would fit the room proportionately.) It makes sense that the higher the ceiling the taller the chandelier should be so that it will look balanced in the room. Many Designers follow the rule of allowing 2 ½"  3" for each foot of a rooms height. Using this calculation, a room that has an 8 ceiling can use a chandelier that is approximately 20" to 24" in height. If the ceiling is 10 feet high, than a light fixture that is 25" to 30" would look more appropriate. The chandelier in a Foyer or Entry Hall should be hung centered in the room with the bottom of the fixture no lower than 7' from the floor. 7' is the absolutel minimum to allow for head clearance. If you have a tall ceiling you should follow a rule of thumb of at least 7' 6" from the floor to the bottom of the light fixture.
