Good Morning, I'm still half asleep this morning. Stayed up until almost 3am reading stuff on forums here on the garden web. It is addictive!!!! Anyway, today is a big day at our house. I'm taking our Baby to get his learner's permit today. Of course DH had put his Soc.Sec. card up so we would know where it was and we tore the house apart last night to find it with no luck. SO..... it's off to the Soc. Sec. office 1st to get another one before the DMV. Y'all pray for me because in a "Senior Moment" I told him that he could drive home!!!! That is a SCARY thing. I may drive out of the city and get off of the 4 lane before I let him get under the wheel for the first time. Back to the business at hand... My weight for this week is: 157lbs - lost 1. Have a great day, Betty P. S. - I almost forgot, I actually got in 30 minutes on the treadmill yesterday for the 1st time since DH's aunt came to live with us at the 1st of June. She didn't like it and kept trying to talk me off. I just kept telling her "Just a few more minutes"!!!! I think I will have to wait until DH gets home so he can sit and occupy her while I walk. Man, it felt good!

TGIF y'all. Chiming in late as usual. Everyone seems to have something nice planned, even if it IS bathing suit shopping. I was supposed to go out with a friend for her birthday Friday lunch, but I had to cancel, and I suggested Sat night at our house instead thinking she might be alone - SCORE! She is excited about coming over for my cooking, LOL. Vday is a big yawn here. I am lucky, I've been treated like a queen pretty much every single day since 1981 when I met DH. No flowers though, unless he grows them himself, suits me fine - I don't like flowers...messy plant genitalia. I appreciate them better on the plant where they do some good. Today we're going to try to drag the kids to our library to renew passports; theirs have expired. I have chicken marsala on tonight's menu since a local store has HUGE MUTANT boneless chicken breasts (health food store, they say its natural, swear to God) on sale for $2/lb. I've been doing a little bit of necklace beading. I'm trying to fix a necklace I broke all over my car last September, and started noodling around ebay - not a good idea, grin. This guy has some stuff I've been lusting after - means a trip to downtown LA's bead mart....so far I've made a necklace I didn't like so I donated it to our school fund raiser, I made it in our school colors. Hey every few bucks helps. Sunday night we're going to a friends house for dinner, Monday I haven't figured out yet! I might drag a kid up to Los Angeles, museum hopping.

Happy Happy Friday from Philly (still LOL) Today was a departure as I was asked to attend a training session on the new fangled lottery machines the commonwealth is installing. Now usually I do not work on Fridays as its my day with mom but since our big blow up a few monyhs ago I have been taking more time to myself....mother is not at all happy about it but she is never gonna change so I may as well take advatage of a little me time before I check out. It was fun...I went with a co worker who is really cool so we had fun. Later today I have a new realtor coming out to talk...hmmmm we'll see....hope he has better news for us. Tomorrow I have to work but Amy should be coming home as my sons school hockey team is playing in the all city Flyers Cup...basically the best Catholic team plays the best public team. So a lot of the boys from my job either go to Father Judge or play so my 2 kids will be going to the game. GO CRUSADERS!!! Sunday I should be off and I believe Shanen has some home lined up for us to look at....we'll prob have dinner out too. Before we leave this house I want to have one more hoorah so I want to plan a game night in my new yet unused game room...I have over 50 board games to play, put out some cool munchies and drinks and just have fun....I will try to plan for that in a few weeks but I will start the food and drink planning this weekend. On another note Wed the 25th is DD 20th Birthday!!! And on Mon the 23rd marks the one year anniversary of Stephen and Charles horrific accident...can you believe it already been a year??? So I am clinking with water for now....have a wonderful weekend!! Cheers! Susie

Linda, congratulations on the "pre-exam"! I got my Property/Casualty License in CO & remember stressing over the tests. Relax...you'll do great! Congrats to Erin, as well! What a wonderful Mother's Day present...can't do better than watching a child graduate! Enjoy the perennial sale. Annie, WOW! Your first anniversary already...I'm going to go back & look at the pixs again. It was a wonderful wedding & Annie, I'm so glad your Dad lived to see the smile on your face that day. Enjoy the Elvis concert. What a hoot. I think it's a fun present! Judy, another graduation! Congratulations to both your son & his finance. My DDIL also has her degree in music. She's a very cultured SAHM...rofl. Actually, DDIL's done something fun with her degree (if not profitable!)...she teaches a community music class to pre-schoolers. She's a pianist but since the third child was born she's not playing as frequently. :( I love listening to her play. We're going on our annual Mother's Day excursion to Newbury Perennials followed by lunch in Newburyport tomorrow. This will be our 9th year. This will be my first Mother's Day without any of the kids coming for a visit. Jobs have scattered our little family. BUT, our oldest daughter's DH is a diver on the oil rigs in the Gulf. They live in Houston & he ships out of LA. He's not been getting as much work & has just accepted an assignment in Norfolk for the next four months. After that, it seems likely he'll be offered a permanent job diving either in Norfolk or in Boston. We're trying not to get too excited but it sure would be great having them closer! Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers. And, for Heaven's Sake, let's hope the rain finally stops! My white garden fence has turned almost totally green this week...enough already! /tricia
