Thanks everyone! 6:30 and just wrapping up my work day, wife's not home yet and she and I are a bit under the weather so I don't anticipate much going on this evening. But it's been a good day with several phone calls and emails, some quite unexpected, so I'm happy but still game for a rain check! (momj47 - LOL, I hope the freezer was kind to you!)

Thank you Dcarch, Sally, Jasdip and bcskye for the birthday wishes. I had a very fun day at work. I sent out an invitation to about 100 co-workers and friends this morning. It said "I'm 60 today and one day you will be too!" I don't like cake so I ordered a full sheet pan, giant rice krispy bar! It was 3" thick and way too much for the 70+ people that showed up. I've never met anyone with an October 1 birthday before. So it came as a real surprise last year when I found out the woman I work for shares my birthday. She went to Philly yesterday and had to miss the party. One of the guys that also works for her made a quick video and sent it to her phone. She was at the airport boarding her flight to come home when she received it. She particularly like the inscription on the giant bar. I don't know how old Molly is ....I'm thinking early 40's. She had no idea I was 60 however! Dcarch - you should receive your rice later this week. And then you can entertain us with the many unusual creations you come up with. I have shared many pounds of rice over the years. But I don't think I have ever known anyone who is so creative and who enjoys the rice as much as you do. Happy Birthday to you ......whenever it is! Thanks for the birthday wishes! This is the 5-0 birthday for me and it's just hard for me to believe it! After yesterday though, I'm FEELING it! LOL The house my boys lived in when they were in college is going on the market today so I was over there painting the kitchen cabinets and staging the bathrooms (cleaned them spic-n-span first). Oh my, I have soreness in places I didn't even know I had places! It probably didn't help that I came home and practically guzzled a bottle of wine while in the hot tub! So I guess 49 went out with a bang and 50 is coming in with a whimper. :-)

Thanks! Nothing crazy planned, today is busy and the weekend looks pretty full already; hoping to at least get some Superbowl drinks in!

What I'm most looking forward to is tomorrow - My son and I have early back-to-back Dr appts and although he could easily make school after that, I'm taking the day off and will let him play hookie. I'd like to go biking or skateboarding but it doesn't look like the weather will cooperate. Doesn't much matter though, the only thing he's asked is that we go out to lunch together, so anything above and beyond that simple request is gravy.

Happy Birthday Stump! Hope the weather holds out for you tomorrow. Still windy here today. Lost power last night for about 7 hours. At least you guys didn't up there! In any case, you'll have the nice lunch. May the coming year be a good one for you.

How did I miss this one? Happy birthday, FOAS!! Sounds like today will be the fun day, except the going to the doctor part. Enjoy that boy of yours. The birthdays come around fast and days like this are precious.

I think of you every time I use my see-saw garlic mincer, and I use it a lot.
