Painting pavers

I know I have seen this done, and I am looking for something new to try? Has anyone done these or now where I can find pictures?

If you wanted to paint these stepping stones I would use Patio Paint. It is made for outside painting. You can buy this paint in small bottles at most craft stores. You can also combine colours and put it on with a small sponge to give you a mottled and more realistic effect. Also you can buy a paint book to see patterns of different stones to create a faux finish. Happy painting!

Ladygabe, great ideas and I like the garage floor paint instead of concrete paint, but you might check with a good paint store about a sealer. We used one on our garage floor and it has survived for about 15 years. But as times change so does paint, newer paints might have a sealer in the mix. Be sure to take lots of before and after shots to share. And what about your mural? Are you doing the painting? Please drop by often with progress reports or just to chat! Belle

Love the house. A definite yes to the squared up columns. There is so much garage door expanse (three car garage--fantastic!!) that I would maybe consider painting them or changing out to blend more with house. Landscaping refresh. Front door really does look fine, but if it's not in great condition and you're looking for a change, I would switch to one center door with sidelites. Congrats on your new home!

There are a couple of books out with great ideas for pavers. I only bought the first one that came out--got it at Michaels, think they still have them. I painted Uncle Sam's Leprechan's, Bunnies, ladybug, and a snail. Easy to paint, but suggest you use old brushes, pretty rough surface!

Thanks for sending folks to my site. Since my DD fixed it, I have done others. A bumblebee,
a leprechaun, scarecrow, and Santa faces. But she hasn't had time to add them. And I am computer
illiterate. Mine are mostly for the outside, so I don't have added parts, except for hats.
I use Walmart spray paint for my sealer-base coat, then add the other acrylic colors I need. Use a lot of
black and white gesso, too.
