Another potential victim!!! As zeebee notes, Art Culinaire is the only "legitimate" importer of Lacanche ranges for the U.S. They have been the source of LC ranges for almost all who have been posting to the Lacanche threads on Gardenweb. They are also one of the best reasons to consider a LC, witness my recent posts on the Lacanche range thread (see below) about the extraordinary customer service. For pricing, normally you can go to the AC website, then to "requests" menu and then choose "Early Arrivals." However, when I just did that, there are none listed. That's a first for me: either it's a web glitch or AC has no inventory of "spec" ranges that are available. That wouldn't surprise me given the state of the economy. The alternative, and really the right way to get pricing, is to call Chelsea, director of sales at AC, and ask for info. She is incredibly helpful as all of us LC owners who've dealt with her would confirm. The other thing to do is to post questions to this Forum. In particular, the "Lancanche Ranges" thread is the home base for most LC questions. The link is below. There is also a nice archive of older LC range threads on the web. I haven't timed how long it takes my Sully ovens to heat up, but haven't noticed it taking any longer than my old wall ovens - nor has it seemed in inordinately long time. I haven't been able to do much baking yet, as my kitchen isn't finished and I am cooking with with very limited cookware - so sorry I don't have more info to offer. If you still in fact have your Range we would love to make it right. Many times a simple oven calibration can solve a myriad of issues, but our service department is here to listen if you're still in need. Hi Megs1030, I have the Chagny 1400, which is like the Cluny except it has the added smaller oven (which gets used all the time for roasting veggies, etc.). I use the warming drawer almost everyday. It is great for keeping prepared foods warm, slow cooking, and Sous vide cooking of meats. I do not find the smaller ovens an issue. No, I do not bake cookies directly on the pasty sheets. Cookies and everything else bakes wonderful in the smaller ovens. I use the gas oven for roasting meats. Turkey (18 lbs) fit and roast beautifully. As for sliding items in and out of the ovens, that depends on the pan. If the ovens had the telescoping oven racks it would be easier, but the range has so many other great qualities that I do not mind not having telescoping racks. We all have different cooking styles, I would suggest you contact Art Culinaire. The company has excellent customer support. They are the most wonderful group to work with. They can put you in contact with a range owner, so that you can experience the range first hand. Which for me was great. Seeing the range in a kitchen, experiencing how to use it first hand, really help me make my decision to purchase. Good luck.
