That is very odd, try this search the file: faint_grain11.jpg" Start > search > all files now type it in delete it if found. I will do more searching if you do find it make a note of it's location. trouble searching then just search FAINT..

See the link from what I can guess Incredimail is may be attaching a smile face or something to your e-mail, any way check out link.... Is there a incredimail help site bet there is, I would type incredimail help into Google then search them for "Faint grain", I'll try it my self.

ZEP516, i did the search and found about thirty or forty faint_grain files..........they are in folder: "F\Memeo\BACKUP\C_\Documen..."

i looked at the link you put up but i have no idea what I'm looking at unless its some kind of virus or worm. Can you guide me any further in deciding if I have a major problem?

zep516, I looked in the security setting in the Incredimail "tools > accounts" but the only mention in the security section of outgoing mail reads "warn me whenever a silent message is about to be sent" with a check box in front of it.

does that make any sense to you?

No need to panic yet - you would have other indications if you had a virus, see if you can find the security settings I mentioned. Also send yourself an e-mail and see if there is a smile face or anything attached. Are they all .jpg files, F\MEMO\BACKUP.... right click on one or a couple choose properties.

yes all the file were jpg, but I deleted them all, of course they went in the recycle bin (I think].

I tried Uninstall/remove programs in the control panel but there wasn't anything listed except the program of Infanview. No "faint" anything.

There not programs there files so would not be in add/remove,

I just can't figure how an attachment is being added to the out going e-mail, don't think it is anything to worry about, looks like the file is really small too 1.4kb. on this forum you have to change the subject to post sometimes I always wipe it out and change it to follow up.

Lotodig is this an email you are forwarding on? I have had forwarded emails arrive here with attachments which one normally expects to find pinned to the bottom of emails by Uncredimail, Yahoo, Hotmail et al.

zep516, I tried sending an email to myself as suggested but it was never delivered...It shows up in my "sent" files, but never came through in the "in" box,

I'm thinking that it could be something creeping in because I changed some settings because my ISP company has gone to a new system and I got this long email instructing me how to change some firewall setting to accommodate their new system.

This morning I went back into Windows setting and set everything back to "default". I don't know if my e mail is going to work right now or not, it's something I'll have to check out.

What is this GREYMAIL? I got an email this morning, something about it, I deleted it and hit "block sender and bounce to sender".

That graphic file, I searched & downloaded it. It appears to be an Adobe color profile or Scheme for probably the background white. Possibly gamma correction.
The one I downloaded was anyhow - a small square off white pic, white mostly with a very small amount of a light shade of gray to it.

Apparently there is some connection with "IncrediMail" but how and why is the mystery. One person who also has seen this said that there was a pornographic picture attached to it ? This is very concerning, since we don't know if it can spread to the computers of those we send email to?
