greenlarry, Download the Firefox web browser and you can get rid of all of the "junk" that GW tries to toss down your throat. There are a few add-on items you need to download, too, in order to get rid of all of the pop-ups, ads, etc. I remember when Spike used to own GW, someone asked him about the leaf logo he used and he said it was just a composite-leaf and not a drawing of any leaf in particular. I would guess the same is true of the conifer at the top of the conifer page. And, yes, the lowest branch on the left does look like a caterpillar, but if you look closely, there are needles coming out of the lowest part of the caterpillar, so it is just a "branch". (:o) Mike

Firefox firefox is a browser yes it is free you will use it instead of using Internet Explorer, simply install firefox and you can tell it to import all your bookmarks and settings from your Ie so it will all be there on the firefox also just like on your IE. then you will need to add the adblock plus add on Adblock Plus 1.1.1 click the add to firefox box once you have firefox installed then you will add the easylist filter EasyList Subscriptions you should add both of those to your adblock plus both easy list and easy list privacy.

It is a pain isn't it. When will it end?! I think everyone is having the same problem. I think I read on one of the other forums that some people are logging in under their name and a different name is coming up and even some have had to re-register under different names. Another pain in the butt is that darn pop up which keeps on popping up every time you login in asking you to complete a survey even when you've already completed one.

bronwynsmom...I am getting the pop ups also and they get in the way of my trying to change from one forum to another! Annoying YES...I even have a program that usually blocks pop-ups, but not here. I imagine it is sanctioned by GW as a form of money making advertisement. Just my guess, but I think they do have control over it and that they have choosen to have them. Good seeing you !
