Actually, The lemon tree, that you can barely see in the white square pot (back yard @ 2 o'clock), was in that spot I potted it up because it froze to the ground and my neigbor gave me the angels trumpet so i figured it would be a good home for it. One day I hope to line the walk from the street to my front door with brugs, gardenias and daphne. maybe wrap them around the whole property With a couple other odd things here and there. Lucy, you should have never told them how good I treat mine. Now they will be mad at you and start demanding more room. They might even wanna leave you and come live with me. dont worry I'll splain to them that you are doin the best you can for them :)

If you're coming up from the south (I-75) and are driving past Sarasota, stop at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens (http://www.centralfloridagarden.com/images/Selby/selby.html). It will meet both of your criteria: it is an "impressive" public garden and it's a short drive from St. Armand's Circle, where there are plenty of nice restaurants and great shopping. My problem with this suggestion - "impressive" often means "unachievable" for the average gardener. So I'd actually recommend something different. Go to the Discovery Garden at the Hillsborough County Extension Office in Mango (http://www.centralfloridagarden.com/images/discovery/discovery.html). The garden is based on principles and approaches that are within the reach of most gardeners and some areas of the Discovery Garden are quite well done. As to food - welcome to Tampa, your options are limited. Most restaurants here are part of chains. But I have a major weakness for one of them - the Cheesecake Factory. There is one off Route 60 in the Brandon Mall about 5 miles south of the Discovery Garden.

I had an idea while reading your avacado tree instructions (which I desperately want to grow, now). What do you think about putting a "supplies list" at the top of all your FAQ sheets regarding specific experiments (like winter sowing seeds or avacado tree)? Ask any teacher or cook, & they will tell you it's very helpful to have a supply list before beginning. Just a thought.

In this instance I knew Claire's frustrations because I had a Lexmark printer that simply quit half way through a print job. The cure was to remove the CAT5 internet cable - now who would ever think of that? And that was the cure Lexmark eventually recommended, it will be a long time before I buy another Lexmark product because it turned out they had numerous models with that defect and no cure.
