Hi all, I went into my HP Solution Center and there is a place that says Transfer Image and when I put my mouse up to it this is what it says. Save images to your computer from a camera or a memory card. When I clicked on that Live watch popped up and recommended that I block ntvdm.exe 3912. I didn't touch it and it went away. I think if I do that it might mess my HP Solution Center up. I don't know what in the world is going on here. This is coming from AdAware Anniversary Edition. thirdfrt!!!

Just MHO, I wouldn't buy that camera for bird photos. Not if you think you might get serious about photography. Depending on your budget, consider Canon S3 IS or S5 IS (the S2 IS takes good photos also). Panasonic FZ20 or FZ50. The S3, S2 and FZ20 are older models that can be bought for around $250. The Canons work well with tele converters (you might want to get into photographing birds at greater distances. The Canons have 12X zoom lens and shutter speeds 1/3200 fast enough to capture the beat of hummer's wings. There is a learning curve with these cameras but study and practice will pay off with really nice photographs. When starting with a new camera, the thing is not to give up. There is no film to buy or processing fees so you can take a thousand practice photos for almost nothing. Visit the bird watching forum and ask this same question mentioning hummingbird photos. Joyce, Not bad at all! Considering the high contrast that snow creates I don't really see any blown highlights. The second has some viginetting. Which model do you have? What lens(es) came with the camera; 17.5-45, 14-45, 14-54 or 40-150? Those are the lenses that Oly has offered as kit lenses at one time or another. These will tell a little more about your camera system. Can you plug the camera directly into the computer (USB Port) and access the photos that way? If you can then try different software and see if that helps. I know I plug our camera into the USB port in my husbands computer and XP recognises it as a drive on the computer and lets me view, move, delete etc from there. Then I save the ones I want to print to play with later using Paint shop pro and print from there. Sorry I'm not much help either. Sue.
