Okay...I've now had time to look into my sound issue. I'm getting sound from Media Player and from e-mail that I receive with sound...there is more than one screen saver that has lost sound, but they came from the same site. Do I still need a driver if I am getting sound from these other places? what to do, what to do.....

Steph, a lovely idea to make the mobiles with your southwestern ornaments. Around here, a lot of folks collect driftwood, and then use tiny screw eyes and monofilament fishing line to hang their shells or other things from those. I am in love with Swarovski and Waterford crystals, their Christmas starts, and that is what I give my granddaughters and grandnieces as a present every Christmas. By the time they are grown, they will be able to decorate a small tree with their collections, I figure. But putting them on a mobile inside near an A/C vent will keep them moving. I have three types of tuned musical windchimes that I've acquired over the years. The first one was made by Grace Note Chimes, then J. W. Stannard (also make musical instruments), and then Woodstock Chimes. Woodstock chimes had a screensaver program that I used for a long time, because the sound kept my house alive with intermittent tinkling and sounding of random notes. I think each of those folks maintains a website where you can listen to the sound of each of their chimes. Tuned chimes are wonderful. I still have chimes located around myy house here, where their tones let me know what the breeze outside is doing. It makes me feel connected to my environment. I had one huge chime I left up north in MA, but the strong winds there broke the cords holding it together. I have yet to mail it back to Grace Note Chimes to let them reassemble it for me. It sounds like church bells, so full, resonant, and mellow. I won't throw it away, it is gorgeous. mydogDaisy - LOVE those built ins! They are just beautiful! Yes, I too would be paralyzed with the thought of decorating that whole thing. I assume you are thinking artwork or mirror over mantel. I like that you did the TV to the side. That is ideal - our TV is above and only because we have a low ceiling is it not too high - but many folks with a high ceiling and a tall mantel put the TV up and it's just not comfortable to watch at that angle. What type of fireplace is that? A gas insert? If so, what brand? I have posted many questions on the "fireplace" board but no one has responded. I'm considering it for my own to avoid the soot and smoke damage to my white built ins. Have you used it yet?

wow sorry I had never seen that I was asked a question and never answered it. I bought my pandigital novel at bed bath and beyond they can be bought at many locations which are listed on their website including Radio Shack and Kohl's. Mine ran me right at $100 with their 20% off coupon and a rebate. The one I have is the 7" white tablet. It is a full android tablet now with their latest update so you can access apps from the android market, you can surf, email, play your music, watch videos, youtube etc, pretty much everything you can do on a laptop. If you are familiar with any of the android phones it is very similar. I thought if I was going to pay over a hundred dollars for something I wanted it to do as much as possible not just be an ereader which is why I went with this PDN. The ereader part is excellent also and since you can now use android apps you can use the kindle app to read kindle books and the nook app, lots of ereader apps are available so you can choose the one you like best gives you lots of flexibility. It of course does have wifi connectivity which works great. We have had several very long threads about the PDN and ereaders over on the computer help forum, you can search the topic there and find much more. There are a lot of people on GW that got Pandigitals too. the lookbook reader I got at CVS pharmacy when they had them on for $49 it only does ereader functions and does color and have wifi and is linked with the kobo bookstore. http://www.pandigital.net/
