Susan Bradley in the latest windows secrets newsletter said there are 2 new updates to do to prepare for sp1 if you have not done it yet, this is to help prevent some of those issues that were listed above. from her article Quote: "Microsoft released two patches to fix problems with Windows 7's infamous first service pack. I was using Spy Bot but will download from that link immediately. I so hope that is it. I am embarrassed to say that I was trying to restore because I could not rename some files no matter what I did (with the date in numericals). After trying for 2 days I said I would just restore to when I knew it was working. Thats how I found out the error thing. THEN I realized that the number lock was on ( has no light). Now you understand why I need help so often !!! Can not be returned but they will repair if needed. Just would prefer not to have to go that route if possible. Thank you again..

first thing always try going to tools internet options and clearing the cache, all temp internet files, offline content,etc. then if you have any browser extensions go in and uncheck the enable third party browse extensions. Shut down all instances of IE then re open it. Are you using IE6 or IE7? help> about IE to find version.
