I bought some Goo Gone at the dollar store to remove some adhesive residue from the glass of a picture frame. In reading the label I noticed that it can be used on crayon and chewing gum. I tried it on both (dark green crayon on the wall and fossilized gum in an old carpet) and it performed miracles. It literally melted the crayon and gum away. And it smells wonderful. If you use it on your carpet you do need to wash it out with soapy water after doing the stain removal, but I'd recommend giving Goo Gone a try. I've seen it in grocery stores and Home Depot as well as Dollar Tree where I bought it.

Yikes! I'm in So Cal too (down San Diego way, not Los Angeles or Pasadena)--I'll have to check my local grocery stores, WalMart, Target and Costco to see if they still carry it! A box lasts me a long time and I always have a spare, but if wax paper is going the way of the dodo bird, I'll have to stock up and have two or three spares. If Kathleen can't find any, and if I DO find some, I'll be glad to pick up a box for Kathleen and Driftwood and mail it to both. As a tip to any NEW parents reading this: Make sure you use name brand such as Crayola. Their paints, crayons, etc wash off walls, furniture and clothing much more readily than other brans (Roseart is one of the WORST to get off walls and woodwork).

I'm so excited to have my kitties! I'd love to know who made what. I know RED'S are the ones "doing things" with the words, (The last two on the Top row). DOROTHY'S (IrishDancer'sGram) had her name pinned to hers, they are the last two on the second to the top row, below Red's. Mine (LAURA) are the "quilted" ones -- the "crazy kitty" looking over his shoulder in the first pic, and the top left one with his back to us in the second pic. One set is signed DB -- is that DeannaBSD? Those are the two in the flower garden -- last two on the bottom row of the first pic. Which leaves us ... Faye and Doris. Whose are whose?!
