saving fonts on Microsoft Word for making labels

I thought I had this information, did check search, but UTL.

I am using Microsoft Word to make labels and using different fonts. How can I save the font so I do not have to reset it and save each time(not for each label)

The settings are different that word perfect.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You create and save a document but when you reopen the document the fonts are different?

Sorry, will try to explain better. When I am making labels, when I find a font I want to use I need to find the commands so that when I go to the next label, same sheet, the font will stay the same and not go back to the original one on the computer. Hope this helps.

If it belongs to the employer or is connected to the employers network, then your company's IT department may have rules about what CAN and CANNOT be installed on their network and on computers owned by them or used on their network. If this is the case, your should talk to whoever in your building is responsible for computer services and find out if they can assist. It may be that the network doesn't recognize you as someone authorized to install new programs.

thanks for the replys, I received a reply over at MS, but I think it would take a Chinese to understand the solution. If I copy over to excel,and get them in order how do I get them back on the word program to print the avery labels? Regards, PK in La.

Zoey, Depending on how your labels are set up, there are several ways to insert a border around each one. If each label is a cell within a table, you can add a border around each cell by clicking Table/Table Properties, then the Table tab, then click Borders & Shading at the bottom. Click "all" at the left to put a border around all cells. Choose the type of border you want and click OK. This probably won't come out right though if you're using sheets of adhesive backed labels, because the borders will probably end up right on the edge of the label. If your labels are set up so that they are just regular lines of text with tabs separating them, you can add a border by drawing a box around each "label" and then formatting the box. You can "skootch" the boxes around by selecting the box and then using the arrow keys to move it (hold down Ctrl to move it just a pixel or two at a time). Copy and paste to each "label." (This method is a lot of work if you have pages and pages of labels.) If the boxes come out so that they are printing on top of your text or causing the text to "move" to another spot, do this: select the box, right click, click "Format Auto Shape" and on the Layout tab, click "behind text." In word 2007 when you get your page of labels ready to type in the information click on the 'home tab' and in the section where you pick your font look on the bottom line of the ribbon and to the right of the word 'font' you will see a small square with an arrow pointing down to the right. Click on that square to open the font dialog box. After you set the font and all the attributes you want click on the 'default' button which is on the bottom left of the font dialog box. Hope this does it for you.

I went to your page to thank you directly, and noticed you lived in a town where my grandfolks lived many years ago, and I use to have an aunt we visited alot. Also that is where we made the cross over from I-5 thru Oakland to 101 on our way to No Calif where out daughter and family live. That area is truly a beautiful area. Don't know if any relatives are left as grandparents moved to Ventura CA

I'm glad I could help Marie. I, too, am a former WordPerfect user. Making labels and printing envelopes was much easier in WordPerfect and I loved the reveal codes feature.
I agree about the area where I live. We have enjoyed it for almost 50 years now.
