1. Bertazzoni all gas, almost one year now.

2. 36 with 5 top burner set up all gas. Comes with feet so it is pretty easy to clean under.

3. All 5 burners are different sizes. The middle big burner is about 15K BTU and the small simmer burner is about 3K if I remember properly.

5. The only issue I've had with the controls is that my friends always go the opposite way with them. On the berta the controls for the burners go 'down'. Most ranges go 'up' if they have controls like mine. Seems stupid but once you get the hang of it, it isn't a problem. I just tell them "push down to turn the gas down" and they seem to catch on. Also, people tend to lean up against the range and trigger the ignite for the oven or burners which lasts for a few seconds. It doesn't actually turn the gas on unless the knobs are turned but it freaks people out when it happens.

6. SO EASY to clean. The top on the range is one big piece of molded stainless and the burners come right off. Makes clean up a breeze. The oven is not self cleaning though.

8. Yes they are very easy to pull out, they are nice and heavy too.

9. Only when the door for the oven is open are there sharp areas exposed, and at that point walking into the oven door would be terrible as you'd burn yourself.

12. The gas oven does not have a preheat and temperature ready setting on it. You need to put a small oven therm in there to tell where it is actually sitting. I have found my oven to be about 10 degrees low consistently.

13. I got mine for 3300 on sale at a local appliance dealer. I think they usually run about 3700-4000.

14. Great customer support. I was having a slight issue with igniting the oven and they told me exactly how to do it within 2 minutes of being on the phone.

15. I had an old crappy Jenn-air downdraft four top cooktop with all the same tiny burners. It came with the house so I don't know how long it was installed but it was a piece of junk. My new range is leagues superior to that thing, there isn't even any way to compare the difference.

Cleaning underneath is something that is mandatory for me. I am sure my wife would have a massive coronary if she couldn't clean underneath(I actually may as well). My Viking before this also had feet which was a deciding factor in that purchase.

Standard Bluestar arrangement. 2x22k 1x15k and 1x8k simmer. No complaints here, I would probably stick with this arrangement if I was buying now, however BS offers any arrangement you wish.

Any pot can be used on any burner, but with the different sized burners I do occasionally match up size of pot to burner and what I want to achieve.

No quality issues at all!! Zip!! Parts of the exterior do get quite hot tho. The kick plate in particular seems hot. The handle never ever gets hot. The knobs are metal so no melting and I have never felt them being more than warm. Handle has never been much warmer than room temp. Not sure if the V1 is better for exterior heat. One regular member here has provided a video proving the temps are not all that hot on his V1.

IMO, the easiest range to keep the cooktop clean. 100% cast iron. It tends to actually look better with age. No self clean option for ovens tho. CC does have this option for those who it is important to.

Not that I can think of at this time, certainly nothing major. Is there room for improvements? Certainly, every product I think has room for improvement. For example, I would love to see an IR grill and the IR broiler could be bigger.

Not really relevant to most people here. I was in the Interior design/Home improvement business, so I got special treatment. I don't think the dealer wanted me posting my price. No problems at all with delivery from BS or the dealer.

I ordered a new style door just in case of hinge problems. Delivered promptly without any questions and zero almost 4 years after the range had been ordered.

Had a Viking 30" before this. Loved the legs, loved the looks. I don't like the looks of the new ones as much. I may place more emphasis on looks than many people, likely due to my interior design experience. Was fun to cook on(not as fun as BS). No real issues. I had their open burner model, but did not like that there was shiny black metal burner bowls. This was hard to keep clean. 100% cast on BS much better. No even close to as good a cooking appliance as the BS.

I would buy another BS in a heart beat. The CC is obviously an amazing range too, just probably not for me (no feet on it among a couple of other reasons),but for others it is fantastic. The American range looks great, but the lack of feedback on the net is concerning, and that they are not available in larger than 36" would be a deal breaker for me.

2. 30" with 4 Burners, Free Standing, All Gas and has great adjustable feet.

3. Thankfully NO, it has all 4 burners exactly the same which are double stack 15K BTU that also go down to ultra low simmer. I would despise having one good burner, one decent and 2 virtually useless ones, makes no sense.

4. No, the burners are fairly large and work great with any pot/pan that is at least 9". I only own one pot that is 8" that came with a set many years ago. Rarely use it, would be fine for simmering a sauce with the inner simmer burner. But no matter the burner I always prefer a larger diameter pot/pan anyway so is not an inconvenience to me in the slightest. In fact it works perfectly for the cookware that I prefer. Also is perfect for my 14"X23" Steel Griddle that pretty much stays on top of 2 of my burners. And my 14" carbon steel Wok works great also.

5. No issues with knobs at all, the oven door even after 500 degrees for more than an hour stays very cool to the touch, it is a very solid oven door with very nice hinges.
All burners work perfectly, no problems with oven or convection and there is no control panel at all to ever go out.
No peeling enamel inside oven.
Occasionally an ignitor will click once or twice if left on high when you first turn it on, just turn it down then right back up and never happens.

6. I have no problems at all cleaning the top or the oven, I use a regular dish rag with hot water then wipe dry with bar towel right after each use, takes about a minute.
About once a week when I think about it I will take both grates off and spray Wiemans cleaner/polish on it an wipe it down and it looks like brand new.

7. Sadly no ball bearing racks, that is its only fault.
The ovens racks are however VERY heavy duty and well made, rock solid.

8. When cold they pull in & out easily even one handed, can tighten up a bit when very hot but if I use 2 hands it still slides in & out easily.

Bought it from some place in Florida called DKA Distributing and the only fault I could say about delivery is that basically nobody from any delivery company will take it into the house. They are all curb side unless you pay some premium.

14. Never had to use them. The warranty is the usual 1 Year Full Warranty for Parts & Labor. and the service company is ADCO which is the same one that Wolf and Liebherr use. I hear they are about as good as any.

15. Just prior to this was a horrid old electric coil stove that was 25 years old and it was nothing but issues. Was in the house when we bought it.

The 30-inch DF Wolf has 4 burners -- 3 have 15,000 BTU max output; 1 has 9,000 BTU max output. The smaller burner is perfect for making delicate sauces, melting chocolate, butter, etc. without stirring. And I use it all the time for slow cooking soups, stews, etc. Love the simmer capability on this range!

Yes, I do this whenever necessary. I do tend to use most of my very small pot cooking on the back left burner, the 9,000 BTU burner.

No problems at all with this wonderful cooking/baking machine in the 6+ years I've owned it. The oven door does not get hot. The drop down panel door does get quite warm 45 minutes or so AFTER completing oven use....it's where the heat escapes, I guess. This has never caused a problem, and I wasn't even aware of this until another poster asked me to check to see if this was warm. Not a single problem with burners igniting, staying lit, etc. Never any clicking after ignition. No problems, at all.

None. The surface of the range is black. If you don't cook on it daily, you'll see some dust when you remove the grates. But just to look at the stove top you don't see dust. Cooking on the range and cleaning it daily eliminates this problem.

No. There are 3 sliding racks in the oven and 6 rack locations.

Yes -- very easy to use, very easy to operate with heavy pans on them.

Don't know. I downloaded the Wolf spec sheet and gave to the electrician and gas people as the kitchen was being remodeled so that everything would be properly hooked up.

Can't remember and price isn't terribly relevant since it was 6 years ago. I purchased from a local appliance dealer in December 2004 so I could take advantage of current pricing vs price hikes forecast for January 2005. The appliance dealer kept the range (boxed, etc.) and then delivered in July 2005 for install. No delivery problems at all...but this was all local people.

Have never had a problem --- ever. I have called Wolf to ask questions about the range and how to clean the Wolf hood, and they've been extremely responsive and helpful.

I'm in my mid-60s, so I've had many, many ranges/ovens as I've moved from house to house through the years. Jenn Air, back in the day when it was an excellent product, upscale GE, etc. I've had island cook tops (Jenn Air) and wall ovens (upscale GE), Hot Point from years ago....I just can't remember them all.

Without a doubt, the Wolf DF range is the best range I have ever used....both the gas burners (sealed) which are more than adequate for my high heat output needs, and also perform magic on their low heat settings, and the excellent baked goods and roasts which come from the oven. I would purchase this range again in a heart beat.
