Why can't I log-in using Mozilla Firefox?

On my home computor (XP) I can't log-in to GW, email, photobucket & probably more that I haven't tried yet using Mozilla Firefox, which I prefer. I have no problem with IE. Any suggestions? Thanks.

That's funny, I can't log in with IE and it is the latest upgraded one. I can only log in with Firefox. Has something to do with settings accepting cookies. My IE DOES HAVE the setting to accept cookies but everytime I try to login then go to post all I get is the login screen again. I emailed the GardenWeb for help and they said to log out first then close the browser and log in again. Trouble is you don't get the log out choice if you aren't logged in. Maybe someone else can help us both.

Yes, I hope someone helps us both. I've enabled cookies & Photobucket comes up for a split second before turning into a blank screen with done.

jalal: having the same problem recently!! I always chec the box by my posting so responses go to my e-mail but lately they don't... I have to log on the pond site again & find the responses to my posting. And I have asked about this twice now to the computer help section but no response yet!

I think it is a GW problem. At least, GW is the only site where I am having it. I can now enter my password and post using my computer and my iPad, as I am now doing, but I still cannot log in via iPhone. It keeps telling me that I must log in after I enter my user name and password on the iPhone. My updates are current, if that matters. No, no error message appears, no passwords have changed. I have always had problems with Freecycle, I suspect the problem is actually with the Freecycle you are trying to sign up with. I suggest you try another Freecycle or two to see if you can get signed up OK. Besides the one 'local' one, I signed up with 3 or 4 others that are in the area (small towns) about 30-60 minutes away. Once you get signed up, you can get 'every' post emailed to you, or a daily digest of posts, or nothing at all. I just set my local one to send me a daily digest of the posts and opted to get nothing via email from the others. Sue

And old trick in the early days of PCs (8088, 286 perhaps) was to power the thing down, unplug it from the wall and wait several seconds and then power it up. I've once resolved a problem within the last couple of years reverting back to that obsolete method. (I've an old TV that must be unplugged from the wall ever time it is turned on. This must have something to do with a chip inside.)

Today GW gave me a couple of blank screens and I had to reload. These things happen occasionally but should not happen day after day.
