Explorer owners, Good day! First of all i would like to state my apology in putting up this thread. Just badly need help with the brake lights of my car and i hope you understand. Feel free to remove this one in case you think this is an inappropriate post. So, I recently bought a used 2000 Explorer XLS and the one brake light was not working and the other one was intermittently working. I replaced both brake lamps and still had the same problem.I replaced both brake lamps and still had the same problem. Upon close inspection of the lamp sockets, I discovered that theyboth showed signs of overheating. I replaced both brake lamp sockets with an aftermarket product called Conduct-Tite lampsocket found off the shelf the shop here in our place. The part number is 84764. This part number is for Ford trucks from 1997 and newer. The part is American made by Motormite, Division of R&B, Inc., Colmar, PA 18915. The price was $7.95 for each socket. This fixed my problem. The counter man also recommended that I use a heat transfer silicon type salve smeared on the base of the replacement brake lamps, which I bought. Related post: Ford Repair

freezing up and getting slow are in general caused by lack of RAM memory on the pc which can be added quickly easily and usually pretty cheaply. You did not give any system specs so can not comment much there. Or by a spyware infection or some type of conflict in programs. Do you have free superantispyware on your pc? if not get it, update it then run the full scan and let it delete anything it finds, do that once a week. SUPERAntiSpyware Registry cleaners, If you are not really really well versed in the registry I say no, I personally never use registry cleaners and, anyone that is not well versed in how to repair any damage would be best not using them. If you do choose to use one be absolutely sure you know the product is not a scam program there are tons of them out there and make sure you get one that can only do very very minor changes and BACKUP is essential. Please know that messing with the registry can be extremely dangerous. I would go for the superantispyware route. Have you done a defrag and disc cleanup, try that too. When was the last time you opened the side of the case and got all the dust out? overheating can cause those same problems and if a pc has not been cleaned out frequently it will be packed with dust that can kill it from over heating issues, and check to make sure all fans are functioning.

Have Windows XP - guess I went from Internet Explorer 7 to 8 as prompted (without thinking about it) and now want to go back. Had Firefox a long, long time ago - don't like change!
