Electrolux kitchen 6 month report

OK, after months and months of research, and months of headaches! I finally settled on the Electrolux 30", slide in, duel fuel range and matching, over the range, microwave with the 300 cfm exhaust.

Well, happy to report the range is excellent, better than expected and the micro is also a winner.

We went from a GE electric cook-top and a built-in Thermador wall oven to gas top and electric oven. We are serious cooks; one son is a pro in NY, and we all agree the Electrolux works great. Flame adjustments are very precise and the one simmer burner is amazing. Flame is perfect from every burner, and light instantly. The cook-top is the Wave Touch, and although it is touch sensitive we're very happy- only downside is it does attract grease splatters. We chose the Electrolux only because it had the roller racks and thought it would be easier to use - we made the right decision! The oven cooks better than expected, and, we made the best Thanksgiving turkey ever. There's a "Perfect Turkey" setting - just insert the probe and push the button, the oven does the rest. Son, who's a pastry chef, loves the baking and the bread proofing features.

The only down side to the oven is the self clean - racks have to be taken out - easy enough, but that's our only gripe. Also, the bottom oven, which we thought we'd never need, turns out to be very useful - happy to have it.

The microwave is 1000 watts and has a power adjustment from 100% down to 10 - many presets that are very easy to use.

Put some Idahos in - press the baked potato setting and it turns out a perfect tater! Very impressed with the exhaust; noisy but effective - we cook a lot of onion, garlic and fish dishes and there's practically no odor (kitchen is about 15'x25')Also like the added light over the cook-top.

Overall we're very pleased. Now if I can only find a washer!!
