My girls wore jeans until they graduated High School. Now I rarely see them in jeans.

Oh, I like that color too. The dress is very similar to the one that Ashley wore for Snowcoming, but hers was black. I like the purple one better.

The senior year has lots of ups and downs, another change in our lives.

When my son went to college and would come home for the weekend (he was only 165 miles from home,) I would always cry when he left. One day as he was leaving and I teared up he asked me not to be sad. I remember telling him that I wasn't sad, I was happy, sometimes it is just so sad being happy and that was how I felt.

Nicole is drop dead gorgeous, and she has an exotic look about her. Lovely picture.

LOL, Paulines, I'm glad Ashley didn't read this before her graduation.

Her class was instructed that all girls MUST wear dresses or skirts under the gowns, no slacks or pants allowed or they would not be allowed to participate. She'd have argued, I just know it.

Annie, let me tell you, this graduation certainly wasn't a 'field of dreams' - the ground was totally saturated (we've had rain, rain and more rain for the last 2 weeks). The poor girls that wore dresses with heels had to walk on their tip toes across the field, so they didn't sink & get stuck. Nicole wore flip flops and her feet were covered with mud!

On an upnote, an English teacher that Nicole has known for the last 4 years and simply adores was among the teachers in the line-up ~ Nicole was so happy to be able give her a last big hug and a thank you!

So Annie, I guess our babies are on to bigger & better!

Yes, they are, aren't they? Sigh. Do you wonder where they'll be in another 18 years?

As for outdoor graduations, ours got snowed on one time too many. All ceremonies are now held in the gym. (grin) May in Michigan!!
