I would look in Word Help for Mail Merge, at least that's what this is called in Word 2007

I don't have Microsoft Word but I will ask this. When you go
to File - Save - Has the Graphic been saved as a Template?

@ randy ca: Thank you very much! Now I must find out what this is called in German because as you might have noticed I live in Germany and I use German language Word.
@ cboy: What you see above in bob414's post is saved as a Word document, not as a template. You can see the name of the file in the title bar.

This is a real difficult problem. I posted it in several Microsoft Word help forums worldwide. Nobody has found a solution yet. It is not easy - otherwise I would have found out myself since I am quite experienced with Word. I wonder if the problem could be solved with the "Normal.dot" file.

When strange ocurrences happen, I always ask if your Antivirus utility is up-to-date and if you have done any recent scans for spyware

Herbie if you look along the icons at the top of your Word screen you will notice the 4th icon is depressed. Click this and it should remove the address bar for sending your document as an email. Releasing that icon should bring you back to a normal Word screen.

If I understand him right, it is the red outline that he wants to remove and not the address bar.

It looks to me like the 4th icon is the button to turn on or off the email send area.

@ genes: I have 2 computers. The one with those word documents has no internet connection, never had one. It is absolutely virus-, malware- and spyware free. I use the second computer which is connected with the internet to write this post.

Well I would never have known the answer had it not been for the photo you posted the link to and Bob brought up on the screen for us :-) I do occasionally send emails using Word myself
