Uncheck the always give this message.. its easy to change it to default browser later.

Using Firefox, go to adobe.com & use the get flash player for it there. Its just a firefox plug in.

'Games' - IE uses a microsoft scripting called ActiveX .. firefox doesn't do ActiveX ... there might be a plug-in for it that 'might work for your games. I'm not a firefox lover, so not up on all the tricks.

anytime there is an update for flash you have to add it to each of your browsers so when you do it for IE you do it for firefox as well, they are very important to do because they are security updates. Doing it on one browser does not affect the other they are 2 completely different programs. Changing the default can be done at any time so you can just untick that always perform the check for default. You may also need shockwave on firefox.

Hi Raven,

I have shockwave in IE and in Firefox. I found them in add/remove programs. I downloaded the adobe flash player for IE and Firefox. shockwave player says I can download Slim or full, which one do I choose and is it different from the plain shockwave that is in add/remove programs?

I checked out my games and they are playing perfectly in both browsers now. I like playing them better now in Firefox because none of the adds are there that play in between playing the games and I really like that.

if you have it ok, it is also one that you must make sure to keep updated so using the tool on the page I linked can let you see what version you currently have if it is not what they say is the latest version then you should update it if it is you are good. Or you can use the secunia tool to check your entire pc for things that need updating which I do.

I get the webpage for Secunia online software inspector nothing else, it is a highly respected site in fact Secunia is an antivirus program company. I don't know why you would be seeing anything else.

Hi Raven,

I had IE7 set up not to accept third party cookies and when I went in and told it to accept third party cookies I stopped getting that pop up. So it must have had something to do with that. It is running now. So far it has been running for 12 minutes, does it always run for that long of a time or more?

just check to see if it shows the list as finished sometime it is hard to tell it has finished. It will display the list down below of what needs updating but it is scanning your pc so it does take a little while.
