LOL, Taryn, well now I try to come in now and then, right now I am on break from trying to get hundreds of plants in as well as a couple thousand bulbs,, have 122 roses to finish planting,hmmm seems endless,but oh so enjoyable,, pond is still going in but getting close,,they have been stacking rocks along the edges I helped set a couple of boulders in the middle yesterday,,, inside,,hmmmm, hehehehe We are working on it,, we do have a May deadline however, thats when the magazine comes to do its shoot,,,I have the actual roof finished other then a couple of planters the guys need to stack, Spent Saturday with Andrew, he has been working for NASA all summer mapping mars,, makes me feel,,makes me feel old ,,somedays,, okay okay more happy that they have all been growing into such nice young men,, well I have to get my butt back outside and get my cliffside planted little by little,, HUgs Girl Mary

Yup - I got to spend my gift certificate to a local greenhouse yesterday, and that was fun. I did have dd with me, tho, so I was a little bit more rushed, but that may have been just as well. ;) I got: 3 tomatoes (Brandywine, Early Girl, German Johnson - the last I've never heard of before) 1 basil 2 yellow peppers, 1 red (sweet) pepper, 1 purple pepper (and that one was HUGE!) big basket of fuschia for the front door - first time for that, but it looks gorgeous, need a pic 2 4-packs lavender snapdragons 2 4-packs, oh, heck, I can't remember what they were - short, with little purple button-y flowers 1 godetia, I think? Since they were all inside the greenhouse, I'm letting them harden off a little bit. At least over the weekend, I got everything *else* planted!

Good LED's work well also. Those cheap UFO's are junk however. You need to do your research, as there is good and bad in the market for LED lights. Given the right ones, they can do very well, and the technology is in constant improvement. Many people with bad results are using cheaper/older systems. They have come a long way. I personally am having good luck using a combination of T5HO's and a 120W LED. I've used it for two years now with good results. Things have improved a lot even in the last two years. I plan on upgrading to a 200-300W LED unit for mature plants, and keeping the T5HO's for seedlings. Eliminating the T5HO's from my LED room will make up for the additional power of the larger unit.

I had actually planned on having a swap towards the end of January but I'm still fighting this nasty cold bug that is going around this area. So look for an announcement around the end of February.

DH just sent a mess of parcels out the other day and commented that I haven't swapped in awhile.
Told him the forum friends were itchin for one and out of the blue he suggested having an April Fools Swap. (can you tell he enjoys the swaps as much as I do ??)

He said it could be one really cool useful item, one totally frivolous item and one tasty item.
