Sorry, I don't think there's any way to delete it except to ask the site administrators, but that's more trouble than it's worth. If you try to respond on a thread where you posted shortly before, it will reject your message. All you have to do is use the back arrow and change the subject heading in your message to something like "Reply" or "Requested Recipe" or whatever and then it'll accept it. OK, if you're canning your mixed veggies, I'm assuming you packed the clean, hot jars with the veggies, brought the brine mixture to a boil and poured it over the contents of the jars, leaving 1/2" headspace. Mixed veggies like this, which can be quite dense, should be processed 20 minutes for pints (as per instructions from "Joy of Pickling"). Did the instructions say 5 minutes because that's really short for this kind of product. If you canned the veggies within the last 24 hours, I'd recommend either refrigerating or open the jars, empty contents, clean jars, new lids, re-pack, bring brine back to a boil and re-process the longer time. The veggies may soften, but you don't have safety worries. Obviously, refrigerating is simpler, if you have the room. Someone else may have a different suggestion, but that's my take on it.

Karen , the forum will only allow a certain number of responses within a given time frame...like 10 minutes. It's to stop blasting on the forums. The way around it is to just slightly change the words in "Subject of Posting" just on top of the message box you post your responses in. See what I did. I add a few //// to that space and all is well.

you mean when you have not actually typed in a message and hit preview message instead of going on down and hitting return to KT if so yes that is the standard response since there was no message. Other times I get that is if I am trying to reply right after I had already replied there is a time frame allowance but to get around that just simply change one letter in the subject or just add a space somewhere in the subject after the RE;
