......tonight. Casual dinner with our neighbours. Using the beautiful coasters that Maria sent me. Also on the table is a candle that Shaun sent me a few years ago in a swap.

I also love that bowl - it's great. And the edible goodies are mouthwatering. That's supposed to be The Word on Italian Cooking. I have the book, but have been too daunted to know where to start. Marcia - please do post any recipes you try on the discussions thread. And for the rest of you who have this book, please let me know which recipes you recommend. With over 1200 (and no editorial comments), I don't know where to start. Enjoy it all. Lynn.

Ramekins are always so useful, I use the ones Dishesdone bought me for everything from melting a couple of pats of butter to snacks for the kids. I even make MLCs in them, which is why she got them for me in the first place, LOL. Linda, I'm sure you'll use yours a lot. That size microplane is so useful, I know you'll love that, but I've never seen a vase grinder, so that'll be interesting to see how it works on your herbs. A very nice swap box indeed... Annie

Shelley, dinner was very simple and easy. Made Moe happy with a Caesar Salad. His request. He feels deprived because I don't make Salads often. Main course was Hoopysmom's Parmesan Crusted Halibut with Parisienne Potatoes and steamed asparagus. Dessert was a Marbled Chocolate Cheesecake tart.

Terri, I love those glasses. I bought them in an antique store a number of years ago. They are vintage Highball and Old-Fashion glasses with little coloured stones and Harlequin clowns in gold. I have 8 of each.

What a pretty table and so color coordinated. It's hard to belive there are items there from three different people.
