Norton is a system pig and their subscription rates are, well I wouldn't pay them. When I use any virus protection at all (rarely) I use Avast. The personal addition is free. You will get a license good for one year. When it expires go back to their website and get a new license. No subscription costs. And its a good reliable product. However. I work with computers ALL DAY. This is my job, and its what I do for fun when I get home. I run NO virus protection at home (other than an occasional check scan). I have had a grand total of 2 virii infections in the 11 years I've had/used a personal computer. TWO. And the first of those came from an infected MS DOS install disk (way to go MS!) Avoiding virii is NOT hard folks. Don't use MS Outlook OR Internet Explorer for ANYTHING. Period. Don't open email attachments unless you have specifically requested the said attachment. Don't follow links from random forwarded email ("click on this to see a cute kitten!" yeah right.) Don't download screen savers/etc advertised in flashing images on websites. And for the love of little green apples run FIREFOX with adblock and java script stopping enabled. There getting off my soap box. So. Avast if you must but know that a constantly running virus protection package is NOT strictly required. You can avoid 99.9% of virii by simply using some common sense. Remember ALL virus protection is out of date. By the time these security companies discover a virus in the wild and update their databases to protect you against its already been running loose for hours, days, maybe even weeks. NO amount of virus protection is 100% effective, you MUST protect yourself as well. (You wouldn't wander around alone in downtown Detroit at 2AM just because you had a bottle of mace in your purse, right? Same idea.)

"Smiles" I will print it out and see what happens. zep516, I tried to go to your link but for some unknown reason it wouldn't open and then my computer hung up. So I shut down and restarted my computer and everything went back to normal. Don't know why it did that either. I haven't tried it since that happened it was getting to late and I needed to get off of the computer. owbist, I do know how to place an attachment into an email but what I was wondering is how do these people do the video thing. I don't think I am making myself clear enough so please bear with me. When I receive an email (lets say from my niece) she sends me an attachment to a video and when I click on it the video starts playing in my media player. What I am trying to find out is: Did they create the .wmv themselves or are they getting it off of a website, then sending it to me? What I was trying to find out is how is the .wmv created? Do you need special software to do the videos? I know I am asking a lot of questions here but I'm not sure which is the right question. Ha! thirdfrt!!!

I'm not clear on whether you have any AOL software installed on your computer or not. If so, that might explain the difference you're seeing. Did you have software installed on your last computer but are you now using the web interface only ? Or have you been using the webmail interface all along ? And, pardon my curiosity... what is it that annoys you about the inclusion of the original message ? Is it the fact that it's there at all ? In that case, you'll have to manually remove the original message each time (see link in last paragraph below) or use a desktop client which can be set NOT to include the original when replying. Or is the annoyance just that the original message is so close to the first line of your reply ? If this is the case, you could do what I do: just hold the "Enter" button down for a few seconds to push the original message down the screen a bit and give you more 'breathing room' for your reply. :-) This answer in their Mail help states that the "include original message with reply" approach is pretty much the only option they give you. (See their "note" at the bottom of that article.) If you don't like it being there, they make you manually remove it. Cat....THANK YOU 700 times!!!! I tried what you said on the laptop, Vista, but when I got to the last thing....."uncheck" in the delivery section....it wasn't there. Then I went to the desktop, Win 7, and it worked! I had to go into it a different way but I found it. I sent an email and it came into the desktop and not the laptop. Thanks everyone else for your comments! I do have Yahoo email that I only use for special things. I also have gmail but that too is used for something. I have had this email address for over 15 years so I would have to send notices to a lot of people so I have stayed with it for years.
