Cactus & Keiko, thanks, you have all reassured me that things are alright with my big baby. Cactus, I tried to not let it get below 55 on the cold nights, it usually stayed more like 68. I built a frame and double layered it with plastic dropcloths, then tucked a digital thermostatic control electric heater under there with it. I just had to be careful to turn off the heater and open the plastic on sunny days. I can tell my family thinks I'm a bit nuts to baby this plant like I do. They're more of a farming mentality than a gardening bunch. But this plant gives me so much joy in the summer that I think its worth it. When I got it from NSE, I was also skeptical about its small size. But I practically shoveled heat, light, and fertilizer down its 'throat' and it couldn't help but grow. Control-Command-Eject (pressed together) will close all applications and restart the computer Not quite sure what the problem may be but you might want to try a different browser, Safari isn't the best. I primarily use Firefox but also have Chrome. Both work fine. I haven't used Microsoft Office on a Mac in quite a while so I can't comment on it. I know they added Outlook and maybe something else to the current suite. I do use Open Office and have generally been pleased. The only drawback is that it is not 100% compatible with Microsoft Office. As an aside a while back I worked on a PowerPoint project with a guy who had MS Office on his Mac. At the time I had a Windows machine. What's interesting is that the Mac version of Office had features that Windows version didn't have. I recall there was a slide transition that we added on his Mac. The transition functioned perfectly on the Windows machine and I could even edit it but couldn't add it to another PowerPoint project.

Huh? No, the question is what email service is the native email program (Apple Mail, in this case on a Mac) set up to connect to. That setting needs to be entered once for every so-called mail "client" app or program on a PC, Smartphone, or tablet. It has nothing to do with default program relationships for file types. Ginny, I know how to do it on ipads and iphones but not immediately on Macs. I have two Macs in the family but neither is here right now for me to look at. A Google search found the following two approaches, they differ perhaps depending on which version of Apple Mail you have. But either or a combination of the two should get you where you want to be. If these don't work, again, refer to an Apple forum. #1 To Set Up Your Apple Mail From the Mail menu, select Preferences. Go to the Accounts tab, and then click the plus sign(+) at the bottom of the Accounts box. In the Add Account window, enter your full name, email address and email password. Click Continue. or #2 To begin, click on the Mail -> Add Account... menu. On this screen, you will be asked about the type of account you will be adding to the application. Select the last option - Add Other Mail Account...Continue button. Now, simply add your name, email address and the password for it. ++++++++++++++++++++ Edited to add As a quick alternative, just start your browser (Safari), go to and log into gmail, compose a new message and then add the photo as an attachment. You'll need to know the location of the photo on the PC to do that and you probably can do a drag and drop for attaching it.
