After reformatting I have had problems with software that I have bought on Cd's at the store at least two years ago or more and have installed them more than once with no problems. I install them from the Cd before I connect to cable. When I reinstalled my Jewel Quest games today it installed with a manager that comes up first and you have to click twice to close that down. I have 3 jewel quest games, all installed the same way. My Roxio will not install anymore even after a reformat and no updates. It goes through the install but there is nothing there when I click on the icon. I have solved the game problem by googling, no solution for the Roxio, but I did find a cdburner software that installs very fast and does what I want it to do. I have solved my problems, but was wondering what causes this if you are using a CD and no connection to the net. I thought maybe updates, but didn't update before I installed these.

vala55...just a note for future posts...using a subject line of "just curious" is not helpful to people out there who may have the same problem as you and are doing a search on this forum....A subject like "Problem software install games/Roxio" would be more helpful....as for your problem..was it only a couple of games and roxio that you have installed many times....could be scratched/dirty cds..are there any freezes while installing any of them???

Jody, I'm not having the best of luck with calyptratum either. I have two of them, one is just languishing and the other is growing 4 nice strong leaves, both were healthy bulbs from the start, from Komoriya. Both growing in the same type pots and the same soil, go figure! I will admit though that one of them was the yellowish colored one and the other the normal green, both bloomed and now I don't know which is which!! Then I bought a tiny one from Telos and so far, that is still alive.... Donna

I have seen a few growing inground in Lahaina, Maui. Where very beautiful. I believe in Kahului as well. I would think as long as they where planted with some could free draining material underneath and around root zone. I wonder if the Nematodes that destroy vegetable grown in the ground would effect Adeniums. You would think with their Sap that it would not be favorable?
