Kodak Easy Share Software Question

Hello, I have a problem with my software for my Kodak Easy Share.

All of a sudden it won't transfer my pictures from my memory card from my camera.

I have ran repair twice and when I try to get it to transfer it tells me " can not get device information".

Do you think the reader on my tower went out? I ran PC Doctor and it said it was ok.

I just used the same memory card two weeks ago and it uploaded the pictures fine then.

The tower lights up when I put my card in the slot but nothing happens, it used to pop up and show that it was transfering now it does nothing.

Anyone have any idea why I am having this trouble?

Reboot the computer and see what happens.

I have restarted it several times and still I have the same problem when I try to transfer my pictures fro my memory card.

I got my questions answered in about 5 minutes from the time I placed an e-mail to KEnt, now that is great response! The program can be downloaded to your websites and can be used in a cd formate to hand out or mail, that is what I have been looking for, thanks Jan! I just bought out the reminder of a DL farm in AL, we will not be ready for sales for awhile, but to me it is an overwhelming task to get everything sent up, and I don't want to be adding extensive DL and Perennial info into a web site then a catalog. This will make my life so much easier, I think. Sure worth 30 buck to find out! We also have 1000 crosses planted or waiting to be planted, so I love the function that you can keep your cross on one record with the pictures. Again Thanks Jan for posting the info, If I look back, I do think you posted the DL farm was needing to downsize, if that was you, Double thank you, I will need to send you a finders fee fo a box of goodies when we get settled in after the moving of these beauties.

Check out yhe new updates to the plantstep program. You are now able to print off Garden labels. On the Find screen you can change location and size of fields - program will remember them when you log back in. In the More section you can now input multiple plant locations. New comment field will show up in description field in Hybridizing section eg. difficlt pod parent or throws high bud count etc. You will now know this when you are planning your crosses. Assign tag name and wire color specific to each plant, this information will be retained in your hybridizing section. Purchased from section do not have to input duplicate information - new find button. Hybridizing section - can change column width and loction for the Pollination cross panning and Hybridized seedlings screen. Pollination report with a notes field eg. made cross 5 times, had rain at night etc. Harvest Report. Status field where you can keep track of aborted Pods etc.

I recently got the Flowers software from Plantstep, I have been messing with computers since the 80's and this without a doubt is the one nicest programs I have ever bought at any price. Anyone should look at getting it whether you use it for crosses or not, as it has so many other features and is constantly updated FREE. I use it for all my plants and am in the process of loading pictures in which is very easy. The to do and diary features are handy as well. There are a lot of features I haven't even explored yet. I can't imagine trying to use Excel when there is something like this out there for 29.95 I have never been happier with a purchase EVER! And in case you wonder I am not affliated with it in any way,I just like to speak up when I find a Great product as it seems to be harder to do anymore.

Hi all, I went into my HP Solution Center and there is a place that says Transfer Image and when I put my mouse up to it this is what it says. Save images to your computer from a camera or a memory card. When I clicked on that Live watch popped up and recommended that I block ntvdm.exe 3912. I didn't touch it and it went away. I think if I do that it might mess my HP Solution Center up. I don't know what in the world is going on here. This is coming from AdAware Anniversary Edition. thirdfrt!!!

So is hardware or software? We really don't know. Try reinstalling the Kodak Software. That's all I could think of for now.

I found this under the help section in Kodak easy share. I will print it out here. Hope this helps.

Resolve Problems Transferring Pictures
If you are having problems transferring pictures from your camera, dock, printer, or card reader, try the suggestions below.

Â§ All devices. Make sure all batteries are fresh. Make sure all cables are securely connected.

Â§ Camera. If an error message indicates that no pictures are on the camera, make sure it is turned on.

Â§ Camera dock or printer dock. Remove the camera from the dock, then securely replace it. Press the dock Transfer button.

Â§ Photo printer. If printing starts but doesn't complete, press the Transfer button on the printer.

Â§ Card reader. Use only one slot at a time in a multiple-slot card reader

Â§ EasyShare software. Make sure the Kodak icon is in the lower-right corner of the desktop. If not, choose Start Â® Programs or All Programs Â® Kodak Â® Kodak EasyShare Â® Kodak EasyShare software.

If EasyShare software doesn't open and display the transferred pictures, do the following:

1. Right-click the Kodak icon in the lower-right corner of the desktop.

2. Select Open and click the Add Pictures icon.

3. Select your device from the Select a location list.

If the problem persists, visit www.kodak.com/go/easysharesupport.

Hope you are able to resolve your problem.

I went to help, then chose transfer pictures. then went to the bottom of that page and chose Resolve problems transfering pictures. That is how I found the information above.
