Silly question about keyboard

I have a Microsoft Natural Elite keyboard.

I've used one for a decade and never used any of the keys across the top. I have no idea what they are for other than ESC.

I hit some key by accident yesterday and a light is on and I have no idea what it is. Not caps lock or num lock, I know those ;)

I've looked at MS website for a diagram and also on Amazon as they often have a lot of info on their listings but I can't find anything. I downloaded the product info from MS but none of it was about the features of the keyboard.

I threw away a the box long ago.

where is the light? what does it light up? could it be the scroll lock key it is up at the top row? Is it lit up on a key like the num lock?

The light is in the center of the keyboard in the same row as Num Lock and Caps Lock.

I have no idea what scroll lock is....

Picture below, there are three lights in the center of the keyboard. The bottom one is the one in question.

Any explanations about the top row would be helpful too. I can't believe I've ignored all those keys for years.

Liquids can start do dry on the surface and leave residue behind after the cycle is done. I had this happen with softener after using the delay start: there was a ring of softener left in the compartment where it started it dry. A quick rinse got rid of it. I say mix! When I bought for kitchen and bath I had 2 different sales reps tell me they liked Kohler best for bathroom and Delta best for kitchen. In the end I also liked the color choice in Delta for my kitchen faucet. Got Kohler for bath and I even mixed styles there. The style I liked best was very expensive so I got it on certain shower pieces where I didn't like the alternatives but went with a less expensive faucet and towel racks that match in color and compliment in style. In the end my bathroom has 3 different Kohler models/styles.. All the same color....I bet nobody even notices they're different.

A silly question about germinating verbena and others in darkness

Of course you can check! But don't be tempted to peek before twenty or more days. If you are using a heat mat to provide bottom heat, the seeds will germinate much more quickly. Verbena seeds can take forever to germinate, weeks and weeks. I've actually never seen a black plastic recommendation before. Usually, a covering of fluffy germination mix is all that is required for seeds that require darkness and that's all I've ever done as a professional or a retired hobbyist. I'd think that covering with black plastic would encourage mold and mildew and set the seedlings up for rampant damping off diseases after germination. Anyway, I'm not going to confuse you by telling you how I would do it, but just ease your mind about checking for germination. Be very careful that the medium is not overly moist when you cover it or your project will not be successful.

I bet it is the scroll lock then if you have all the lights there in the center rather than on the actual key like a normal keyboard has. It does not say anything where the light is as to what it is for? and on the link it sure does not even list those center lights at all, strange.

What's the "Scroll Lock" key on my computer for?

on my keyboard the scroll lock key is between the print screen button and the pause break button on the top row to the right side.

Thank you. I honestly never heard of and never used Scroll Lock. I must have hit it by mistake.

I did google search microsoft natural elite keyboard to try to find a diagram of what all those extra buttons are...
