Do you like Pampered Chef Products?
Comments (41)I agree....if you are trying to sell me something it's not a party....and I don't go even if I like the people who invited me. I have gone to too many Longaberger basket parties and Lia Sophia, and....and. I don't consider it entertaining in any way to listen to a sales pitch....or to look at stuff I really don't want and try to be interested for the sake of being polite. And to get back to the original question....sort of...LOL! Two years ago last Spring I got talked into a Pampered Chef Party for the benefit of the church kitchen....so naturally I had to buy something....one of those hamburger mushers. The party was full of "sweet young things" who rarely really cooked for their family and about once a year helped with a meal in the church kitchen. They insisted we have a can opener which no one can work ( doesn't work on institutional cans at all) 3 knives in their little sheathe to keep them sharp....well one has rusted because it was put back wet and all are very dull because they are used to chop on a glass cutting board. There is also ANOTHER lettuce spinner because someone thought we needed 2, and that dumb hamburger smasher. Someone did buy us 10 of those small wooden tongs which are wonderful for sticky bars and such....but the rest was expensive junk that we didn't need. No, I don't like PC products. They are too expensive and kitchey, for what they cost. Go to a commercial kitchen supply store and have a party with your friends without any sales pitch and bad cooking demo. You'll save money and have more fun...AND get better products. Just my feelings. Linda C...See MorePampered Chef Cheese Knife
Comments (7)But you can't shave cheese with it. Even DH tried it and it doesn't work. You can't hold it in your left hand and shave with the right hand. You can shave across the top of the cheese but you have to shave from right to left which is awkward and not safe because there's no place to hold the cheese while shaving it. You're shaving toward your hand. Weird....See MorePampered Chef stoneware washed in soap!
Comments (19)Jasdip, when this thread was new I said I did mine in the dishwasher then, and I still do them in the dishwasher. Mine are now over ten years old and are the unglazed ones. Sure they are darker, looks more like grease stains than anything else, but I have yet to have a soapy tasting pizza or cookie, dinner roll or loaf of bread yet. I know they are clean after coming out of the dishwasher and to me that is the main thing. I am sure I will be chastised for doing this and putting it out there, but it works for us. It is like trying to season a new cast iron frying pan. I takes years to get that finish right that nothing sticks....See MoreWhere do you store your pampered chef stones?
Comments (10)I have tray cabinet dividers under my prep sink in an 18" cabinet. I store the extra oven racks, cutting boards, large round pizza stone, a pizza grid, a medium peel and a pizza pan, the stainless cover for the sink, some plastic cutting sheets, and a couple of oversized pot lids. I have the rest of the baking stuff over the refrigerator but I didn't want to be trying to wiggle that stone out above my head with fingertips....See Morehamptonmeadow
