Please help with Pop Up

I keep getting this window pop up all the time..it is trying to install

world perfect office12.. says.. Please wait while windows configure world perfect office 12...

then another window comes on and says.. The feature you are trying to

use is on CD insert the CD and click OK

When I click cancel.. it gives me.. error 1706 and windows remain open and restarts the

same thing over and over again.

I don't use world perfect 12 office and I don t have any CD.

I try restarting my computer but still can't get rid of it..Can someone tell me how to get rid of this annoying pop up?

ok do you mean word perfect? or does it actually say world perfect?

Either your pump is not pushing any water, (probably because it lost its prime) or you have a broken line somewhere. If its a broken line, let it run awhile. You will get a very wet spot. That's where the break is.

I did end up writing GW a note to complain yesterday, as the shadow ads along one side were still showing up despite my bumping my pop-up blocker up to high. I was also getting more of the giant ads and the ad blocker that GW supposedly put in for us to use was still not working. But this morning I got a nice email from GW's Tamara, who is the manager of GW forums. I'm going to attempt to cut and past it here for you all to read. Lynn Hi Lynn, There was an issue with an overnight update, but it should now be resolved. If you are still seeing the rail ads, you should be able to clear them by refreshing your page by hitting the F5 key. If you're still having problems, please let me know. Turning off the water and watching the meter won't tell you if you have a leak. Make sure all water is off in the house and then watch the meter for movement although a very small leak may take a while before it's reflected at the meter. You might want to do it before you go to bed (and make sure no one uses water overnight). Frankly, I'd suspect that the concrete wasn't sufficiently dry before the flooring was laid. Do you have any pipes that run through the concrete? Perhaps there is another issue unrelated to your ceiling leak?

are you sure it is not on your pc? Most pcs come with some version of word perfect on it, you can also get Word which comes as part of Office. If it is on your pc probably what you are seeing is the windows update popping up with a critical update for the version that is on your pc.

Look in start> all programs and see if you see word perfect

now if it is saying Word or Office that is a different program Word is part of Office suite and for those when you do the updates it will usually ask you to insert your Office cd to prove you do have it during the update.

yes, it's on there..but how do I update without a CD?

Hi, Carmie2...

Since you don't use Word Perfect, perhaps you should remove the program.

Click on START, - CONTROL PANEL , look for "Add or Remove Programs".

It may take a few minutes to load all of the installed programs. Then, look for either Corel or Word Perfect. It may be listed as the latter, but Corel owns it, so Corel may be part of the name.

Select "REMOVE"... Follow the instructions for removal.

Thanks for your help, majickmann.....went there and tried to remove it..I got a pop up saying:

"Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install."

Then I tried to remove it through Program Maintenance and got this pop up.

"Error 1500 another installation is already in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one"

So now what do I do?...I don't have a CD?...

if it came on the pc as it usually does do you have your cd's that came with your pc when you got it?
Be certain you do want to remove it before you go that route, if you do not have office or some other word processing program you may want it.

This is a used pc..It never came with any CD's..

I do have office..I don't need,use or want Word Perfect.

Any other to remove it without a CD?

I should have outlined how to start in safe mode. Reboot your computer and as soon as it starts to reboot start tapping the F8 key. Keep tapping it until you get a screen where you can use the arrow keys to move up and down to select safe mode. You will see a lot of lines of text scroll by and get to a screen where it asks if you want to do a system restore or continue to safe mode. Continue to safe mode and you can go to your control panel > add/remove programs and try to remove Wordperfect there. You can then reboot and continue to regular mode.

If bob114 advice does not work and I hope it does the next thing I would try is to run the Windows Installer Clean up Utility I have provided a link please read it and see if it helps,

Error 1500 that's a windows installer error.
