I study linguistics and I didn't even know about Scirus. But thanks for letting me know. I'm testing it out now. But I do agree Google scholar is fantastic. One of the things it does, that Scirus doesn't seem to be doing for me as I look at it, is give me the article as the top hit when I type in a citation. I typed in the same citation in Scirus and just get links to relevant web pages. My whole dept. loves Google Scholar!

O.K. Seriously, on the main forum page, have we always had dark black dots to the left of each post, ( there's a name for them) and sunshine sort of looking things beside Posted By and the followups? Also each followup has a black dot to the left of it now, too. Really, they're not new? Maybe my computer has been blocking them until now??? I've had a lot of updates recently. Maybe if I take up drinking they'll go away, LOL !

Yes, Google has changed. You can find the cache if you click on the arrows of whatever you searched for, and you will see cache on the top part of that box. Its just plain a nusiance, and I rarely use it anymore. Beats me, why they took a very good thing, and made it so inconvenient to use.

Would by any chance your husband be playing a prank on you by changing your setting? And then changing his on his laptop to play off it being and internet glitch? I did that once to a boyfriend who would always want to use my computer to 'check his email'. He would always change my computer setting to what he liked. I yelled at him constantly for it and told him to stop doing this. He ignored my wishes. Soooo, one day after he had left, I went to my computer and saw that he had left his Gmail account open. So I changed the language on his Gmail to Hindi. Bwhahaha. The whole page was in Hindi. It's easy to change back of course with a click on to the 'English' from the pull down. But you have to be able to read Hindi in order to find the word in Hindi for 'English'. Bwhahaha. I'm sure he had to call around for tech support to talk him through the change back. I think he "got it". I haven't had a problem with my computer setting since.
