That sounds like a pretty good deal and it is very doable, but it really depends on what your building skill set is and how much money you want to throw at it. If it were me, and much of the glass is already missing I would look into replacing it with double wall polycarbonate. Its cheaper than glass, easier to work with and can be cut to size on site. As for making it a stand alone and replacing the 4th wall, I would look into what it would cost you to get aluminum U channel in your area. That is how I would reconstruct the 4th side running 2 pieces parallel to the ground 1 at about 18" off the dirt, and another about 5' of the ground (of course depending on how tall the structure it these numbers could change (but since you said it was mounted to a house I would guess its roughly 8' tall on that side. If you could post some pics it would help alot with giving you more details, as I could then see how the structure it setup.

Hoop houses are easy and cheap to construct, use 1/2in pipe and fittings. Don't cement any of the joints so you can take it down again. Use cheap construction plastic. Make your benches from 4x8ft sheets of plywood on top of trashcans filled with water. You only need a small greenhouse to start 1000's of seedlings. A 11ft by 9ft hoophouse with 2 benches can start 9216 seedlings in standard 288 plug trays. When you need to transplant then of course you need more room, so add another 11x9 hoophouse. By March you need even more room so then you put all those plants in your existing structure. I start seeds, then expand like that as and when they need more space. That way I am not heating a big greenhouse when there is not a lot in it. Just a thought... Oh by the way, I forgot to mention I build the flimsy hoophouses that would never survive outdoors in my greenhouse. Yes Basically it is the equivalent size round that has been ovalized. It works well in the 6 & 7" sizes, if you need 8" then typically you would use wall stack in the 3-1/4" x 12" or 14" rect depending on length.

Yeah, I bought one from Pier I and was disappointed that it 'went so fast'. I even posted about it in another thread somewhere. It turns out that the second half lasts longer and it must have been the reeds soaking up all the oil at first.
