It's the whole problem with Using internet explore, it gives the browser complete control. Some sites & scanners require it to run programs. Not all Active X is bad, The stuff you see is probably nothing to worry about on your computer.

When you talk about deleting Active X, do you really mean disable it in Internet Explorer? Active X is a set of helper programs that make things work together better on your PC, but they also affect security. You can go into your settings in the Tools / Internet Options tab of Internet Explorer and make changes to the settings. But there are trade-offs, and the more you disable Active X, the more annoying it may become to surf the Internet. You don't say what version of IE you are using, but there is some helpful info in the link below that will give you some ideas. When you get the message "Internet Explorer is not responding" what you usually do is close it and reopen it. Or, you could use a browser like Firefox that may have fewer problems. I have Vista Home premium edition (64) bit. I use, Malwarebytes, superspyware, spyware blaster and Avast. The game is Jewel Quest from IWin game site. The game is jerky in it's movements and because they recommend the plug in and I can't download it,I am assuming that maybe the problem. I have uninstalled jewel quest and re-installed once, didn't help.

If I had to move and not have my fios I just don't know what I would do. IT would be a determining factor in where I moved to I can tell you that. I will hopefully never have to leave fios! I have had it since 2005, I was one of the original test houses out here in Texas, I had the big head bosses out here from time to time, I had to call them one day because I lost my connection, I had 5 Verizon cars and trucks in my drive way in less than 15 minutes and several of them were in suits LOL. Found out one of the installers had accidentally disconnected me from the box at the street when he was working on the lines, it was very new then only about a week old. I think the poor guy got fired. That is the only time I have ever lost connection other than of course a power outage. I had DSL before that and it was a constant pain. Dial up was a bad dream.
