I wanted to thank each of you for your suggestions about solving my problem. I tried each of your suggestions but without success, I wound up calling tec support and talked with a young man in the Philippines, he was very patient and got me through the process and I got the printer installed. Word of caution, read carefully the instructions when installing new hardware and when it says not to hook up the machine to the usb port before being told to do so during the installation process, DON'T DO IT. I was careless and it caused me a lot of aggravation........

Andy, I did a major photo project last fall putting photos onto DVD. Haven't yet worked with video but opened up my Roxio last night and gave it a shot. Please ignore anything that is not applicable to your situation. First thing I learned is to change my screen size to 1024 by 768 before loading Roxio. After loading you'll see a series of dropdown menus on the left side. Select Vido. Then on the center section of the screen select QUICK VIDEO WITH MYDVD EXPRESS. It'll take a minute or so for the components to load. Then you'll have a page come up showing a MENU for your video. You can use that one or select another by clicking on the options on the left side of the page. The video menu permits you to enter your choice of words. Then down at the bottom of the page click NEXT. You'll need to Browse to find the video you want to transfer. Don't know if you can get it from another source and if that is a problem, I'd load the video to my computer to make the transfer simplier. Anyway, click on the video and then click on the button ADD. If you want more than one video, hold down the control key and select the multiples you want. Finishing that, you'll get a page asking what you want to do. At the top is BURN TO DISK (or something like that - I'm working from memory) Got your DVD burner all set up, then go to it. There is a site VIDEOHELP.com that might provide you some more insights. HTH Bob Central Arizona

I have no problem with the software, have actually found one, free but limited, only 36 pics. allowed, and it re-codes,formats,etc, and plays in our 2 DVD players, however would like one that allows more pics. and also don't know how long, I can use this one before they bug me to pay for full version.. so figured someone here knew of a total free one? this one also erases or formats and writes over a DVD-RW, has very kewl transitions too, seems ashame to burn 15 mins. on a 2 hr. DVD..wish they made shorter length DVD's??

I've never used PhotoStory but found these instructions online. Make sure your computer has a DVD burner and that it is working. If the instructions below don't work, open Nero (which I also don't use) and create a copy by dragging the file into a new burn project window. Other than that, can't help you much. Good luck. Insert a blank recordable DVD into your DVD burner. On the Save your story page, click Save your story for playback on your home DVD player. Click Next to temporarily save the photo story. On the Completing Photo Story for Windows page, click Continue and save your story to a DVD for playback on your home DVD player. In the Create a DVD dialog box, do the following: * In the DVD Title box, type a title for your DVD. * In the Video Title box, type a title for the photo story video. * If you have more than one DVD burner installed on your computer, make sure that you choose the correct DVD burner. Click Create DVD. The time it takes to save the story to DVD is determined by the overall performance of your computer system, the length of your story, and the recording speed of your DVD burner. In the Disc Create Complete dialog box, click No to close the dialog box, If you want, save the project for your story. To save the project, click Save Project, and then in the File name box, type a name for your project, and then click Save. By saving the project for your story, you can later open the project in Photo Story 3 and make additional changes, and then save it to your computer or save it to another recordable DVD.
