terryjean - about the hardiness being listed as zone 7; Most of the HT's listed on HMFR are listed that way and I have found very few that I had trouble getting through a southern Michigan winter. There might not be much left of the prior years' canes, but they always seem to come back fine. Really, the only ones I have had troubles with are roses that are on Dr. Huey, and were body bags the prior year. The only HT not a body bag (off the top of my head) that I had trouble was Jocelyn. I finally gave that rose up just this year after trying for 4 years. This includes a lot of florist roses I have propagated and then left it to fend for itself for the winter.

I just signed it. So far I am the third. I think a lot of these sellers just harvest a ton of seeds from ANY pepper plant in the fall and then find out what the hot varieties are that winter/spring and sell them as that variety. At $5.00 for a pack of a dozen seeds, I can make a lot of money in a couple months or longer before the scam is detected. For instance, say I grow a bunch of Hot Hungarian Wax Peppers this year. They are good producers and throw out a lot of seeds. I could get hundreds of seeds off each plant. Say I collect 5000 HHW seeds. Then I divide them up into lots of say 20. that is one hundred lots. I sell them on Ebay as Ghost Pepper seeds and Trinidad Scorpion Butch T seeds and whatever else seems to be the flavor of the day. I charge $5 for each lot of 20 seeds and and I just made over $1000 bucks. Not a bad return on investment. Now, I dont know if this seller is legit or not but if he is selling common pepper seeds instead of TS Butch T seeds, he is going to scam a whole lot of people. He has already sold 380 lots. An no one will know one way or the other for months. In the mean time, he keeps selling. Bruce

another_linda - Both good points to consider. Thank you! ideefixe - I never said that I thought the print was an original. It was sold as VINTAGE (not an antique or "the real thing.") As I said, the print is probably from an older Temple of Flora book and was then framed in the 60's or 70's. While older prints from books can be worth a little money, the new reproduction poster prints (that are mass produced and sold these days,) are not worth the paper they are stamped on. I occasionally check eBay for Thornton listings. I bid on this print, because I liked the way it looked in the photos, and thought it would make a nice addition to our home. Plus, the price was reasonable! I really didn't expect it to have any more value than I paid for it. The reason that I am not happy, is simply because it is not in the shape that seller suggested. A Print is the correct word to use for a reproduction. The originals are called original paintings, oils,water color, engravings, plates, etc..) We had original plates.
