It is a big space so size isn't a problem. A 60" long tub fits me since I'm only 5'3" and have lots of width.

Not too late at all-- we have not even broken ground yet, I am just trying to get all the decisions made, or at least narrowed down, as soon as I can. I'm glad to hear you like the Andrea, and that you found the 60 x 32 to be comfortable. That is the one I have tentatively decided on, even though I haven't found one to sit in. I looked really carefully at the specs and it seems the closest in back slope and arm rests to the tub I have now, even though this one is much longer. I do like the modern lines as well. Are you doing the drop-in or undermount? I guess if i do a tile deck, I'll have to do the drop-in, but it should look fine. (You are so right, a lot of the modern sleek-looking tubs have way to straight of a back for me.)

The whirlpool bath manufacturers, such as ourselves, have made great strides in reducing the amount of water left in the plumbing harnesses in conventional whirlpools. In the past, only flexible tubing was used in the plumbing harness. This flexible tubing would sag over time and hold substantial amounts of water in them. The results were the black mold build up discussed. Now, some manufactures use rigid PVC piping that is heat formed to allow the water to automatically drain out of the jets. MTI Whirlpools took it a step further and patented a cleaning system that back flushes the entire plumbing harness using your incoming potable water supply. Hi Raehelen , as you might want to know , I am not done with my MB Reno yet . The so called GC and his workers managed to do wrong or damage what was done right in everything in the bathroom . I don't want to start this conversation on this thread . I just want to let you know that I placed my tub filler on the tub deck itself so I won't drill in my marble . I placed it on the side along the wall . This makes using the handheld shower easier from both sides . I will post a picture for you tomorrow . I am not an expert , but I think that all the tub faucets are called tub fillers . I can't tell you anything about using the air tub since I didn't use it yet because my .... GC did not connect my controller to the motor and they closed in front of the tub with a solid wood panel . ( this is one thing of the things done wrong )
