OMG Diana Does it Again !

Well maybe our Diana can't count ( not that I'm complaining mind ya ) but she sure knows how to use a camera !! I'm now the proud, awed owner of a Diana Lundin Original !

And the nicest note from her explaining everything.

I had trouble just lifting the box up on the table ! And no wonder-- here's what made it so heavy .

My skimmer is totally different. So don't know if what I do would work for you. I know it works for me, but there will be bunches of people here on the forum that will disagree. I removed the door and in the slot where the door would go I put a piece of the black (coarsest) Matala mat Then I have 3 baskets that hold filter mats and then the pump is in the rear. My skimmer pulls anything that is floating in the pond and it catches in the Matala Mat, I just take it out and hose it off. I also take the baskets out with the other filter media and hose them off at least once a week sometimes more if I need to. With all the gunk I wash out of the mats, it has to be working. Then after the water goes through all this media it goes to the waterfall. I was having a problem with fish getting in the skimmer. And I actually cut a hole in the top of the skimmer so the frogs can get in there. A frog could never go through my pump and go through to the waterfall. My pump has a filter on it and nothing gets through there unless it is miniscule.And when I remove the baskets of filter media to wash it, I can see the bottom of the skimmer and if there was anything in there I could see it. I am landscaping a mobile home park south of Youngstown, OH, so I have 8 acres to play with. This is one tree I am considering. Can anyone answer the following questions: 1. Just how wide will this get? Height is no problem but width is. 2. Can it handle light snow loads? 3. Hoping to plant it in full sun on slightly sloping site. Occasional high winds from north. Yes? I call them Dream Merchants. Really they are not selling a product but a dream. Went to one Amway party and the poor presenter spent an hour "explaining" to me that it was not about selling dreams. Alas, the first page in the Amway sales book says you have to "sell the dream". Pretty certain I ruined his Amway career. The scam is to sucker people into selling carp for you. You get them excited about being rich without having to actually work. Show a pyramid chart and talk about the hundred if not thousands of people that will soon be "working" for you. Stop to show some pictures of a tropical beach location. Continue by projecting huge wealth if thousands of people all sell this stuff for you everyday. End up by noting that some people deserve fabulous wealth and it can be theirs if only they cough up a hundred bucks to join your sales team. Not everyone wants to be wealthy so not everyone joins your team.... don't you want to be filthy stinking rich without working? I got sucked in by AFLAC. Fresh out of college and looking for a job anywhere. Being an "Insurance Agent" seems almost like a real job. I actually sold a few dozen policies before the reality set in. Just because you establish a customer does not mean that you own that account. No, your Regional Sales Manager has the right take over your accounts because you fail to sell them more insurance every month. Last sales meeting I was threatening to turn the RSM upside down and bounce him on his head. Had to quit before I gave into violent temptations. : ) lyra

I grow several clematis but most are not texensis. Pink Fantasy – not a favorite Clematis – Rebecca does really well for me once established Clematis – Clematis viticella Venosa Violacea - not established yet Clematis – Dutchess of Albany, Princess Diana - bought these in 2013 and Princess Diana does good, but Dutchess of Albany must hate the spot it's in. It doesn't grow very much and has never bloomed. I need to move it. Clematis – Henryii - bought this last year. Left outside in a pot overwinter. It's already bloomed big white flowers.

what a fantastic picture. great job diana. i love it.

the butter almond thins are my all time favorites and i love the waffle cookies too. just the other day i was eyeing the grapefruit vinegar, didn't buy it because i wasn't sure what to do with it and the place was packed and the staff was so busy, i never asked. i'll be anxious to hear what you do with it.

excellent package. enjoy all three categories (not items LOL)

What an incredible photo. I would love to see it for real.

But what happened to 3 things? I feel like my swap partner is going to be so disappointed by my package. I had really wanted to go buy TJ's out but was afraid it wasn't legal. I did go high end instead but... And there's no incrdible work of art in my package either.

I've never seen a photo taken by Diana that isn't amazing, but that one is truly outstanding!

Diana, girl, you are a sweetheart and a premier photographer but I gotta tell you, you are really, really bad at counting. :-)

Amazing photo! Diane you caught the very essence of the moment! Gorgeous!

With so much new stuff to use and taste, it is hard to say what I would do first. Ok, I'd probably look through the cookbook, while glancing at the photo and munching on Truffles, several varieties of cookies, chocolate-chocolate-chocolate and probably sipping a cup of Yogi Tea! ;))

Oh yikes, I see the chocolate didn't make it. I had to leave the package out in my car until my lunch hour when I could mail it and it was warm that day and... sorry.

Yes, my counting was off. I failed to read directions in a timely fashion. But hey, aren't we celebrating Diane's birthday?

Vicki and I went to Yosemite two weeks ago just to take that picture and we got really lucky... it only happens for two weeks a year, only when the conditions are perfect. We caught it.

Hey, I'm watching "The Wedding Bells" (funny show). Delta Burke just ate one of those almond butter cookies!

So that cookbook... it's an anthology of great American recipes... I have about five or six volumes and love them. I love them so much, in my eagerness to get last year's, I accidentally ordered a second previous year (because they didn't have one last year). I made one recipe from the book I sent Diane when I realized, "Hey, wait a minute, I already have this book." So it doesn't really count. :)

Diana, thanks for the photo link. I have a good friend who grew up in Yosemite, his father was an employee of the Curry Co. He has lots of good stories including pushing over the burning logs from the staged firefalls. He will love this site.
