Locate the picture you want to send and select it with a single left-click. Don't open the picture. Now, use a single right-click and find the menu item which says SEND TO...MAIL RECIPIENT. If your default mail program is configured properly, it should start a new blank email message and should automatically ATTACH your picture to it. You won't see the picture but you should see a message that it is ATTACHED. Then enter the email address and send it. If you still have a problem after this, the possibilities are: too many pics being attached to the same message you are exceeding the size limit for file transfers imposed by either your ISP or theirs your recipient doesn't know how to save the file attached to the message and open it.

Yes Elaine, it does! My dad gave it to us for Christmas one year, a complete surprise since I didn't ask for one. I had only mentioned that I'd like to get one to work on projects. I don't want to tell him about the glass because it will make him feel bad about it. :-( I'm scanning photos of my nephew to insert into a slide show I'm making. If it was a professional project or a wedding gift, I wouldn't continue or I'd get another scanner. But, fortunately, my family won't care about the haze on these pictures and might not even notice it. There are many others in the slide show that aren't scanned and look much better. You can not put an old version like 5 of IE on your pc it is extremely dangerous and I really don't think it would allow it. What you need to do instead is go to the website for the product and find the new updates for it so it works with windows 8 if that is what your new pc is. Software manufactures put out new drivers and updates so that their products can be compatible with the new versions of windows. How old is the version of Picture it? it is from 2000? what version of picture it is it number wise 7? etc you can try to run in compatibility mode on your windows to see if it will let you do it. Compatibility Center check there to see what it says about the compatibility of it with windows 8 on the 8 forums site I found this comment so you may have luck with compatibility mode "I have just installed Picture It! 2000 on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. I used compatibility mode for installation, and the program seems to need to run as administrator (just right click on the icon and select 'Run as Administrator'). Very smooth. I really like Windows 8. It seems to run lots of old hardware and software.
