It's not a favorite here... If you're looking for a standard size, you'll do better with the major brands.

Well, I've seen them and I just was not impressed. If you do a search, you might find some old discussions about them. They sell them at a building supply store in San Francisco, and I've seen them at a small appliance store nearby. They make gas or electric. Some have windows and some have stainless fronts. I needed a small range once, so I had to look at these because they make cheap apartment ranges, like Brown, or Hotpoint. I just think G.E. or Kitchenaid, or Bosch or any of the major brands you can find at Lowes,Best,Sears,Home Depot/Expo Center,, etc is going to be a better value..esp if it's a 30" range. The major appliances just make and sell more and compete with each other for features and appeal.

If you're looking at high end, the brands are different- Wolf,G.E.Monogram, DCS, Bluestar, Capital, American, AGA, LaCanche, etc, etc.

There have been a few posts in the past from owners who were pleased with their Premiere ranges but they've scrolled off by now. A friend of a friend has one and is quite pleased with it - she wanted a pro-style range but didn't want to spend the big bucks of a Wolf, DCS, Bluestar, etc.

thanks for both your input. i am attracted to this company because it's so basic. i'm looking for a range that has no electic "brain"... my range's electrical panel is on the fritz, hindering my ability to bake. very frustrating.

Bluestar may be out of your price range but it is US made commercial quality excellent power, great broiler, great baking, the largest oven available in a 30" range, and very basic and the best range out there.
I looked at Prrmiere ranges when I was first searching and was not the least bit impressed. a very standard range, not exceptional in any way.

I went to see one in person when I was in the range hunt phase of my remodel. It was really, really cheap compared to the higher end ranges but the metal body was really really thin, the burner grates shifted around with the lightest bit of pressure, and The dials seemed kinda loose. I ended up with a Bertazzoni, and despite a few quirks with the oven, am very happy with the decision.

thanks for your input mccall & judith. i did end up looking at one in a showroom and they were exactly how judith described. a real disappointingly made range. i ended up with a bosch evolution 700 and love it so far. hopefully the electronics will hold up!
