I have the Jenn air pro style all gas slide in range. It's been installed for about 3 weeks, only, so I cannot speak to long term reliability but so far I love it. Great flexibility with the burners--one dual burner (high output -low output/simmer), one very high output burner; one simmer and one moderate size. Rangetop cooking is much improved over my old, nice but basic GE gas cooktop. Oven is great. It seems to work like a dual fuel since the convection function works with an electric element and the bake feature works with gas. The electronics are complicated but I used to have a GE double oven that also looked like it could launch the space shuttle. I had to have the GE control panel replaced for $$$. So, for this one I bought an extended 5 year warranty that covers everything. I can only say: so far so good with the Jenn air range. I really like the flexibility, it cooks fast ...the performance has been good so far.

Thanks everybody for input. I have a tough dilemma to replace old Caloric served reliably f/some 40 years . Actually, it has a second oven attached to the top of the unit. I had 2 ovens w/1 stove!!!! Cry out loud! I want basic. I need a range to be able to COOK/can/dry stuff in the oven at 140F, not to look at it or show off to guests. I want a stove to serve me, not other way around. One of the mechanics said to have no dreams finding anything close to that reliability now-days. I called service centers of both NXR& Premier to make sure they are available in my area and also to survey repair reports. None reported having a lot of calls for both. Maybe just not many people own them? JWVideo, especial thanks to you for details about parts!!! I think my hubby will be the mechanics! He can fix & repair unthinkable -- just give him parts! Will buy NXR from Costco only. Premier from Gerhards appliances, maybe Lowes. Less likely Best Buy. NXR looks more solid. Weights 320 lb. Premier -- 183. Talk about heat insulation? Parts, eyes, from China -- both! Leaning towards NXR as of now. I wish my stove not to be near fridge -- would go for AR30-2WB-2B.... Hey hubby, ready for complete kitchen remodeling? 36" commercial! I understand not getting induction - we considered it but have someone with a pacemaker in the house and didn't want even the small risk. My mother insists on coil herself. It's all about cooking habits and comfort levels and no one model is the correct one for everyone. I am no expert vis-a-vis quality, but there are some very good design points about the stove you've selected: -- The control panel is in front: yay! no burning yourself when you need to adjust temperature -- The arrangement of the burners does look a tad retro and easy to use (I love the empty space between the burners on my actual vintage stove). -- It has no electronics to break, which is HUGE in terms of durability. -- It's manufactured in the USA, which is important to some folks. Can you hunt around to find others with these attributes, for comparison, or is this pretty much it?

We just bought a home that had an existing Culligan water softener system installed. We had a technician (and yes, you will be married to a Culligan dealer for ANY issues/repairs/service) come out and check to ensure the equipment worked properly and was at the correct setting for our water & our usage. My husband said the guy was in & out before he knew it. The technician told him the equipment was working fine. He never even checked our water quality which cough, cough I'm not sure why hubby didn't insist it be done. We used to have well water & a very good softener years ago, and we never had the issues we have with using this Culligan system. I taste salt in the water, our faucets all have white scale on them, 3 months into moving here our brand new fridge ice maker doesn't work, toilets are lined with orange, our white laundry is dingy and my daughter & I use tons! of shampoo and soap in the shower and our skin is not soft at all. My husband adjusted the ? I'm not sure what to try to correct, but I'm not even sure he's done it right. Hate to call the technician again and get their $250 charge for nothing. Wish I could remember the brand of the old unit we had. After reading several sites, I am leaning towards the Fleck brand. But, like other readers have stated, it's not about the cost of the unit initially, it's more important to LOVE our water!
