WANTED: Thank you, Diana

For once, it was better to be second! Diana, with her usual generosity, sent me a print that I had commented on a couple of times in the past, the one of Antelope Canyon. With Ashley gone for the evening, I had to prop it on a chair, so please excuse the less than perfect picture, but here it is:

Isn't it just beautiful? I love this picture, it's almost "other worldly", like it should be another planet or universe.

I was so excited when I got the package, not realizing that there was more than one "winner". When I tore it open and found "Antelope Canyon", I had to catch my breath. It's just beautiful. Ashley came and said it was the "coolest thing" she'd ever seen. She has decided that it has to go on the fireplace and is busily deciding what type of frame would be best.

Thank you so much, Diana. I love this print, and I am so excited to have it. Thank you.

Annie, I was also a winner! I also love Diana's Antelope Canyon, and know that you and Ashley will enjoy it. Diana is a superb photographer, and most generous. Enjoy!

Oh dear, Connie! I have already found just the right spot for *her* and really *she* needed to be there! I have a 'Guardian Angel' in the bed and a barrel behind it where 'S&S' didn't do well this Spring. In front of the barrel is a special gift, 'Katie Q', which is looking very nice and beside the barrel is 'Eliator', which I have had so many years and now being in that spot is finally putting up more than one eye!!! So, the barrel got the 'D.R.', in a pot to plant in the ground in the Fall then back in the barrel in the Spring, again! Right now, it is only two eyes but if it is as vigorous a grower as reported, then perhaps I eventually will feel I can divide some out for you, Connie! :o) The problem is, Connie, I remember 'Diana' because of the news, history, etc. but you'll have to remind me to *remember* I've told you about sharing her with you! :o) I suspect time will not improve my memory!LOL janice

That is a breathtaking photo. I see why it is your favorite Annie. You deserve it. That is so nice of you Diana. Anyone would love to have that photo displayed in their house. I don't know if it is my favorite of your work as I love so many of them.

I'm no expert in art or prints, but I feel better about my taste if Diana has the same one in her hall!

Now my art collection consists of an oil painting over the couch of flowers that I bought at a "starving artists" show, a watercolor that Ashley painted for me in art class and Diana's print. A nice, eclectic collection, I think.

Sherry, just wait, these prints are even more wonderful than they are in the albums....

Sherry, send me your address (through Garden Web) and I'll see if maybe I didn't write it wrong or something. I'll make a new print Friday night and send it out on Saturday or Monday.
