Please help! Convection OTR vs. oven

I am trying to decide where the convection would be used the most. I was looking at the GE convection (OTR), and started looking at the Advantium (OTR). Not really sure what the advantages of the Advantium would be????

It also got me wondering if the extra $$ for the convection would be better spent in the range (I am looking at a gas freestanding ranges, nothing high end)?

Most of my cooking is from scratch. I like simple fresh ingredients (ie. Martha Stewart Everyday Food type magazines). I do bake some desserts, oh, say, a few a month. Some homemade bread. Does that even matter? Most info says "covection cooks 25-30% faster". OK, so what exactly does it cook faster? Everything? Only select things?

I searched this forum for some info, which was helpful (although sometimes too much info is almost as bad as not enough, LOL!).

Please help! I am c-o-n-f-u-s-e-d!
